Chapter 142: Chaotic Battlefield

Haahaa~

Blake looked down at Irina, who lay on the ground with a flushed face, breathing heavily. Her grip tightened on her sword, hands trembling from exhaustion.

Nodding in satisfaction, he smirked. "Not bad. You're finally getting the hang of it."

Just then, a series of system notifications echoed in his mind.

Ding!

Congratulations! You have completed the task: "Training the Untalented Holy Sword Users 2". Reward: 100 Luck Points.

Ding!

New Task: Save Kiba Yuuto. Reward: 200 Luck Points.

Ding!

New Task: Kill the fallen angel cadre Kokabiel. Reward: 500 Luck Points.

Blake raised an eyebrow. Now that's a serious mission. But 500 luck points for taking down Kokabiel? The system was feeling generous today.

Meanwhile, Irina, still trembling from the intense sparring, clasped her hands together in prayer. "Lord, please give me strength..." she whispered, eyes filled with determination.

Blake stretched, unfazed. "Enough resting. We need to get back to Kuoh Academy. That fallen angel isn't going to deal with himself."

Irina's expression froze. She turned to him with a mix of frustration and disbelief.

This guy… after everything, he can just move on like that?!

"Hmph! This time, I will make him pay for stealing the Holy Sword!" Xenovia declared, completely ignoring Irina's inner turmoil. Her eyes burned with determination.

Blake chuckled. "Alright then. Kanna, take us to school."

"Yes!"

With a nod, Kanna shifted back into her dragon form, her pure white scales shimmering under the moonlight. The group climbed onto her back, and in an instant, they shot through the sky, heading straight for Kuoh Academy.

Above Kuoh Academy

Seven figures floated above the school, hands raised as they maintained a massive magic barrier. The air shimmered with powerful energy, sealing off the battlefield to prevent destruction from spilling into the city.

Tsubaki, Vice President of the Student Council, stiffened in alarm. "President! Look at that!"

Sona Sitri turned her gaze toward the approaching light in the sky. Her eyes narrowed. "A… dragon?"

A sense of unease settled in her chest. As if dealing with a fallen angel cadre wasn't enough, now we have a dragon appearing out of nowhere?

Before she could formulate a plan, a familiar voice called out.

"President Sona! Let us through—we're here to help!"

Her brows furrowed. That voice…

A moment later, the white dragon in the sky shimmered and shrank, transforming into the silver-haired cute girl she had seen before—Kanna. Blake landed gracefully with her in his arms, while Xenovia and Irina touched down beside him.

"Blake?" Sona adjusted her glasses, scanning the battlefield. "Go. The situation inside is critical."

Without hesitation, she signaled her subordinates to open a gap in the barrier. As Blake and his group stepped through, Sona's sharp gaze lingered on him.

That girl… was a dragon all along? I underestimated him.

Her thoughts remained private, but the rest of her peerage stood frozen in shock. Even though they knew dragons existed, seeing one up close was an entirely different experience.

Inside Kuoh Academy

In the center of the ruined schoolyard, a man with ten black-feathered wings lounged lazily on a throne of condensed energy, legs crossed, exuding absolute arrogance.

Kokabiel.

Below him, a massive Cerberus a three-headed hellhound rampaged across the field, clashing with Rias and her peerage. The ground was torn apart, riddled with craters and deep cracks from the ongoing battle.

As soon as Blake and his group arrived, his eyes swept over the battlefield, assessing the situation.

He clicked his tongue. "Half the school is gone. And that's a Cerberus from hell? This guy's really lost it."

Xenovia stepped forward, tightening her grip. "Leave that thing to me. You handle the rest."

Before anyone could object, she dashed toward the raging hellhound. Mid-run, she reached into thin air, as if grabbing something from another dimension. A deep blue knight's sword materialized in her hand.

With a single, decisive slash

SHING!

The Cerberus was sliced clean in half, its monstrous form dissipating into nothingness.

On the other side, Akeno hovered in the air, her fingertips crackling with energy. A wicked smile curled on her lips as she unleashed a massive lightning strike.

BOOM!

A pillar of electricity crashed down, obliterating another three headed hellhound in an instant.

Watching his pets get effortlessly destroyed, Kokabiel didn't show a hint of anger. Instead, he laughed.

"Hahaha! Impressive, truly impressive! Rias Gremory, the so called Lightning Priestess... and a church warrior wielding Durandal?" He licked his lips, crimson eyes gleaming with excitement. "I'm almost impressed you can control such a wild sword."

Rias and Akeno's eyes widened in shock.

"Durandal…? The Durandal?!"

They turned to Xenovia, their gazes locking onto the holy sword radiating overwhelming sacred energy.

They finally understood.

No wonder Xenovia was so confident before. She wasn't just any warrior she wielded one of the most legendary holy swords in existence.

But even with Durandal, Kokabiel showed no fear.

For a moment, the battlefield fell silent. Then, Rias and Akeno exhaled slowly, regaining their composure.

Blake was here.

Their earlier tension eased, knowing that with him, they had a real chance of winning.

Meanwhile, Kokabiel remained seated, grinning like a madman. "Ah, finally. The real fun begins."

Blake's gaze swept over the battlefield again. Rias, Akeno, Asia, Koneko… all of them were still standing. None of them were seriously injured. Good.

Then, his eyes landed on Kiba.

The blonde knight stood with a dark expression, facing off against a pale haired young man. The hostility between them was palpable.

Blake frowned. Who's this guy?

The answer came almost immediately.

A mocking voice sneered from the distance.

"Well, well… If it isn't the disgrace of the Silva family."

Blake's gaze snapped toward the speaker.

A man with light gray hair smirked at him, exuding arrogance.

"I almost didn't recognize you," he said, crossing his arms. "Looks like you've been living quite the comfortable life, haven't you?"

The moment those words left his mouth, the atmosphere turned heavy.

Tension crackled in the air.

Blake's eyes darkened.

The battlefield had just taken a new turn.
