Saving Meliza

Ethan's POV

I struggled to hold back my laughter as I watched Meliza's strange behavior. I wasn't sure if she was doing it to annoy me, but she looked ridiculously cute with her scarf draped over her head and oversized sunglasses perched on her nose inside the restaurant, no less. It was enough to drive Ruby mad.

Sylvia nudged my arm, and when I turned to her, I was met with a look of pure displeasure.

"What?" I whispered.

"Your ex-girlfriend is being obvious. She's flirting with you in the most ridiculous way. Who in their right mind wears sunglasses inside a restaurant?" Sylvia huffed, clearly irritated.

I couldn't deny I was enjoying myself, even if Meliza's antics were borderline ridiculous. She still had that innocent air about her, and despite knowing my girlfriend was glaring at me with envious eyes, I found it hard to look away.
