Chapter 9 Steel his heart

Peter decided to go out of the house and find some food for them.

Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato protested but Peter convinced them that he had a special power that could help him avoid danger.

"If you all don't believe me. Let's do this. Yahiko, try to hit me with that club."

Peter pointed toward the club he saw near them and he sat down and turned his back on them. He even closed his eyes.

"A–Are you really sure about that? Yahiko is v–very strong…"

"You shouldn't do something dangerous like this. Just one hit and you will have a headache for a long time. Or even die…"

Konan and Nagato worried about Peter's safety but Yahiko smirked.

"You ask for it. I am going to hit you so hard that you stop thinking about something stupid."

Yahiko tried to hit him where it would hurt the most but Peter could avoid his hit like he had eyes on his back.

"Wow!"

Yahiko tried his best but he could not land a single hit on him.

"You really do have special power. That's so unfair. I want one too!"

Peter laughed a little before he said.

"I told you I have special power. I can go out and find you all food without getting caught. Do you believe me now?"

They didn't want to believe it but Peter might really have a special power. That meant he could go out and find food for them.

"If you really want to go out that badly I can't stop you but you need to bring something with you just in case."

Yahiko ran toward the kitchen and brought something to give him. It was a small knife called Tanto.

It was very sharp. 

If he used it with his strength. Cutting through steel would be very easy.

"This Tanto, I found it on a dead Ame ninja. You can use Chakra to make it sharper. But I don't know if it would explode like the leaf or not. Try using Chakra as your last resort."

Peter nodded at him.

"I will return it once I get back."

Peter wandered around to find food in the forest. Rain was still pouring down from the sky and there was no sign of it going to stop soon.

"Can these mushrooms be eaten? But judge by their color. They must be poisonous."

Peter might not be able to tell which mushroom they were but he had a general knowledge that the edible mushroom shouldn't be colorful like these.

"Do I have to hunt? But I have never killed anything before."

Peter looked at the Tanto that Yahiko lent to him. Even though he didn't want to, he must steel his heart if he wanted to survive in this world.

Peter heard a walking noise of an animal. He jumped up to the tree. He found a deer sheltering from the rain under the tree where he was on.

"I need to kill it to feed the three of them and to feed myself as well."

Peter himself was very hungry. He could go back to his home world to eat, but he knew he would need a lot of food and Aunt May would get into financial trouble if she tried to feed him.

Therefore, he had to learn to hunt for food when he was in this world so that he wouldn't cause anyone any trouble.

Peter steeled his heart and he aimed his tanto at the deer. He closed his eyes before jumping down from the tree and slashing the deer's neck with a swift swing.

The tanto slashed through the deer's neck as if it were just tofu. Blood splattered everywhere and was slowly washed away by the rain. Peter looked at the deer and almost threw up.

This was the first time he had killed something, and the red blood scared him.

Peter shook his head before carrying the deer with his superhuman strength. He was able to carry it without much difficulty.

He had to get used to it if he wanted to survive this world.

"I'll have to drain all the blood from it first and then take it back. If there's a trail of blood, the Ame ninja might be able to find the house."
