Damon's POV
The company was in a bad state because we couldn't find the perfect male omega actor for the new drama that our company, Gold Era, was going to produce. That's why I was feeling extra frustrated.
Today, I had auditioned over 200 omegas, but none of them were suitable for the role.
On top of that, in the evening, Orian was telling me that he wanted to sleep with me, so I had to come home quickly. I got so angry that I punished him, telling him that he would sleep alone tonight.
After finishing all my work, when I arrived here, I saw this guy standing in front of me. To be honest, at first, I thought it was Orian.
But as soon as I looked at his face, I realized that he wasn't Orian, and in fact, he looked even better than Orian.
His blonde hair gleamed under the light, and his blue eyes gave the feeling of an endless ocean. He was wearing a brown shirt and black pants. His slender frame made it evident that he was an omega.
When he bowed before me to apologize, I noticed he wasn't wearing any slippers. How could he stand outside barefoot in this weather?
He seemed perfect for my role, so I tried to shout at him, wondering how he would react in that situation. And, indeed, he impressed me.
The truth was, he was just like the role—clumsy. After all, who trips over their own feet and falls?
His cheek had a scratch from the fall, and a bit of blood was oozing out, but he probably hadn't noticed it yet.
So, when he was about to fall again, I grabbed his hand to prevent him from getting hurt again.
But as soon as I touched him, a sudden strawberry scent filled the air, hitting my senses.
I immediately started inhaling the scent of those pheromones.
"Are these omega pheromones?" As soon as I said that, he pushed me away and stared at me with a murderous look, as if he was about to kill me right then and there.
"If you dare touch me again, I'll break your hand" his tone made it clear that he was extremely angry.
"Calm down, but are these strawberry pheromones yours?" I just wanted to make sure, but by asking him and seeing his reaction, it was clear he was going to get angry.
"What does it matter to you, my pheromones, even if they smell like strawberries?" His voice was reaching the heavens, how could he shout so loudly even at this time of night?
"At least don't shout, have you seen the time? What happened to you?" I had to calm him down because it didn't seem like he was going to lower his voice.
The bandage on his head was turning red, probably because his shouting had reopened his wound.
"Blood is dripping from your head. Let me re-bandage your wound," I said, but as soon as I spoke, that strawberry scent hit my nose again.
That strange sensation coursed through my body like electricity once more. I couldn't believe I could feel that strawberry scent because, since childhood, none of us four brothers had been able to sense any omega's pheromones.
According to the oracle, the four of us would have only one male omega as our fated mate, and we'd only be able to sense our fated Omegas pheromones.
I still vividly remember that night. I had gone to the fair with Mom and Dad, and for the first time, I caught the scent of strawberry pheromones.
Following it, I saw Orian standing alone, crying. We searched everywhere for Orian's parents but couldn't find them.
He was too young to tell us anything. Mom said he was our fated mate, which was why we could sense his pheromones.
But the truth was, after that night, none of us could ever sense Orian's pheromones again. We never mentioned it because hearing it would have upset Mom.
And for some reason, over the past few months, Mom has been bringing every blond-haired, blue-eyed omega she finds into our home and keeping them confined.
According to the doctor, she's trying to find partners for us. She doesn't want all four of us to end up with just one mate.
She wants each of us to have someone different, which might be the reason this omega ended up in our mansion as well.
"Sorry if my behavior upset you, but could you tell me your name and which pack you belong to?" The moment I asked, the anger seemed to vanish from his face, replaced by a nervous expression.
Sweat began to bead on his forehead as he avoided my gaze, looking around instead of answering my question.
"Umm... my name is Silas, and I... and I'm a rogue," he said in a low voice. For a moment, my brain was buffering, trying to process what he had just said. But after a few seconds, I finally caught on to his words.
"So, Silas, you're a rogue. Where do you live then?" I asked him, but just as the words left my mouth, I heard Dad's voice.
I turned around and saw Dad's car. Inside, Kael and Orian were seated in the back seat with Mom.
"What happened to mom, dad?" I immediately asked, placing my hand on the car window.
"Your mom had a panic attack, so we're taking her to the hospital. You should come along," dad said, and drove away with the car. The worry on his face was clearly visible, especially for mom.
I went to open the door of my car, and that's when I noticed Silas. His head was bleeding too, but he seemed to be planning to sneak away from there.
"Silas, where are you going? Come, sit in the car with me," I called out to him and sat inside the car. But he didn't come in, so I started honking loudly.
Two minutes later, he angrily opened the car door, slammed it shut, and sat down next to me.
