I will kill you

Silas's POV

Although I wasn't planning to go with Damon, he kept honking the car horn so loudly that my eardrums were about to burst.

On top of that, I had a sudden headache, and my vision became slightly blurry, so I had no choice but to get into the car.

"Your temper is always right on your nose, isn't it?" Damon muttered while starting the car.

I didn't respond to his comment and instead leaned my head against the car window, looking outside.

It was nighttime, and the deserted road seemed to stretch endlessly. Even inside the car, there was silence, as his entire focus was on driving. He kept his eyes on the road ahead.

I understood why he couldn't stay calm—his mother wasn't well, and it was obvious he was worried.

Ahead of us was king's's car, which Damon was following. But suddenly, the car in front came to an abrupt halt, forcing Damon to slam on the brakes.

The sudden stop threw me forward, but instead of feeling pain, I felt something warm and soft.

"Are you okay, Silas?" Damon's voice made me open my eyes immediately. I realized he had placed his hand on my head to prevent me from getting hurt.

"I'm fine, but why did your father stop the car so suddenly?"

I was speaking while looking ahead when the door of the car in front opened. Kael stepped out, shut the car door, and started walking toward us.

"Why is Kael coming toward us now?" I asked while looking straight ahead because Kael was approaching our car.

"Have you already met Kael? No, I mean, you knew my name beforehand, right?" My attention immediately shifted to Damon, who was scratching his head while asking me this.

"Yeah, I met him a little while ago inside the mansion," I replied firmly.

Just then, Kael reached the car, opened the backseat door, and got inside.

My reaction was clear—why are you sitting in this car now? At that moment, king's sped off in his car from there.

"Hey, did your dad throw you out of the car because you were talking too much?" I turned my head back toward Kael, resting my hand on the seat, and asked.

But it seemed he didn't like what I said because he just glared at me with those big eyes of his.

And "PFFT~" Damon, sitting beside me, burst into laughter at my remark.

"Bro, start the car quickly," Kael ignored me and spoke to Damon instead. That irritated me even more—was I so desperate to talk to him that he needed to act so smug?

Just then, Damon started the car and began driving at a high speed.

However, I noticed that instead of taking the road to the hospital, he took a different route—one that led toward the forest.

"Damon, where are you taking me? This isn't the way to the hospital," I asked him in a sharp voice.

"Don't worry, we'll go to the hospital, but not right now. And don't be scared by whatever happens ahead," Damon said casually.

Hearing this, I felt uneasy. Instinctively, I crossed my arms over my chest.

"I'm not that kind of guy, so don't even think about trying anything funny with me. If you do, I swear I'll kill you and dump your body in this forest," I threatened directly.

Suddenly, Kael kicked the back of my seat, making my entire body jolt forward for a moment. I wasn't hurt, but Kael was definitely about to be.

I immediately turned around to see what his problem was. The moment I looked back, Kael was flipping me off with his middle finger.

Then, using his index finger, he traced circles around the sides of his face and pointed at me, miming that he felt like throwing up.

Wait a minute—was he saying my face made him nauseous? Did he actually have the guts to insult me to my face like that?

I unbuckled my seatbelt, stood up, and moved straight toward the backseat to teach Kael a lesson.

"I'm going to kill you, bastard!" I shouted. Hearing this, Kael raised both his eyebrows repeatedly in mockery, clearly trying to provoke me—and it worked. There was no way I was letting him off now.

But climbing from the front seat to the backseat of a moving car wasn't easy.

I struggled and was about to lose my balance when Damon, still driving, reached out his arm and wrapped it around my stomach to steady me.

I ended up standing in an awkward position—one foot on my seat and the other on the floor.

Thanks to Damon holding me steady, I now had a clear view of Kael's smug face. I stretched out my arm, trying to grab him and land a punch.

"Silas and Kael, stop messing around. I'm still driving, and you, Silas, sit quietly back in your seat," Damon said firmly.

It's not like I was scared of Damon or anything, but there's something about the way he speaks—so mature and commanding—that you just have to listen. That's the only reason I sat back down without a word.

Even Kael, who had been acting all high and mighty, quieted down after Damon spoke.

A grin spread across my face. Look at him, sitting there like a scared little puppy. Coward.

"Bro, they've caught up to us," Kael said, and as soon as I heard him, I looked out the window.

Damon, however, grabbed my head and pulled it back inside before closing the car windows.

"Why are you closing the windows? I can't breathe if I don't get fresh air," I said, because it was true. But honestly, some people just can't stand me.

"Oh no, you'll suffocate without air? Then go ahead and suffocate! I'd love to see you die, you annoying omega" Kael retorted sarcastically. Just as my anger was about to boil over, suddenly...

I noticed that several other cars had surrounded ours, and there were even more cars trailing behind us.
