chapter 5: martial arts book as a reward…

Kai lei can be seen resting outside of the caravan's resting location as he had yet to be officially announced as a son in law, so he had to stay at the outskirts for now.

He smiled as he saw a couple leather bags full of supplies such as extra clothes and bedding, he even got one of his daggers back though the guards were reluctant to hand it over, but they didn't dare disobey the lady's orders..

Kai lei put the bag on his back and went to change, after changing into a rough looking red outfit he rolled the sleeves and clothes up, as he was a child he couldn't fit the normal clothes so he had to make due with this baggy outfit as his white robes were all dirty and torn..

After coming out he headed towards one of the pretty looking servant girls.

He tapped her on the shoulder and his childish voice sounded out as she saw him

"Sister can you wash my clothes i will give you a couple silver taels for your troubles" he said politely and pulled out three silver taels, he knew it was risky to keep pulling out money but money is the only way he could think of at the moment.

The girl looked at the silver in his hands and her eyes lit up, but then she was hesitant.

"I-I ,okay" she said in resignation ,the girl thought the child meant something else and was hesitant as she heard young master's liked to play with servant girls, but seeing the silver that could feed her family for a while she nodded..

"Thank you sister come with me" Kai lei said, he was oblivious to the girl's thoughts.

Kai lei led her to a forest clearing then grabbed his bag of dirty clothes and turned around, what he saw made his eyes go wide.

A small drop of blood came out of his nose as he saw her drop her clothes revealing her body, Kai lei's mind went blank for a few seconds before he came back to his senses.

Kai lei slowly approached the pretty woman and she was nervous.

"Please be gentle I-it's my first time" she said her voice was full of sadness and resignation.

Kai lei tried to think about what made her like this as he thought about what he said to make her have this impression , he was silent for a few seconds before remembering a sentence in the common world knowledge he had.

"The young masters like to make the servant girls "wash their clothes" a lot making all the girls turn to women"

He had thought this was a poem about age or something but he finally realized it meant something else, sighing he looked up at the nervous girl and smiled.

"Pretty sister are you also washing your clothes?" He said acting innocent pulling out his dirty and torn clothes from the bag.

She saw this and her mind went numb, she was extremely embarrassed and wanted to find a crack in the ground to hide in, she quickly turned red with shyness as she nodded.

"Sister's clothes were dirty, I will wash it later" she said grabbing the clothes and putting them on, she breathed a sigh of relief but was full of shame.

Nodding Kai lei smiled and handed her the clothes she blushed in embarrassment and went to wash his clothes, Kai lei couldn't lie he really liked the eye candy but he couldn't use it for many years so it would be useless to actually do anything ,plus he ain't that type of person to force himself onto others..

He wiped the blood from his nose , then proceeded to climb a tree to test his agility, after a surprisingly easy climb as he had never done that before he looked at the horizon and nodded, it was certainly a breathtaking sight.

The vast colors of the trees trees were just a drop in the bucket,the vast plains and other terrains he could see now that he was up high were certainly a nice sight.

he then climbed down a little bit before finding a ledge and taking a nap…

A tall man saw the servant girl running out of the forest clearing in a disheveled state and his heart was full of killing intent, he had seen the child lead the girl inside the clearing, seeing the silver in her hand he knew what happened, slamming his fist on the log he sat on ,he said through gritted teeth.

"Just wait till tonight, I'll have the child begging me for mercy as he dies and I'll get her in bed the next morning" he spoke with anger and lust, the man was the same man who gathered the group of soon to be bandits ,he had liked the servant girl and admired her but this child came in and with a few silver got his hands on her..

The man looked up at the sky and saw that it will be dark soon so he quickly ate his food with eyes full of killing intent.

In the city of Xianyang…

A 12 year old boy can be seen playing with toys Plated in gold and silver, he had silky black hair that went down to his shoulders ,his eyes were full of an unknown intelligence..

The child threw a wooden soldier doll to the floor next to him,the child then got up and began to run around, he explored the vast luxurious palace for a while before going back to play with his toys.

After a long time the child began smacking marbles against each other,making an obnoxious noise, the servants around the boy lowered their heads trying to ignore the noise.

The boy stopped and looked around, his eyes grew confused as he looked around, he looked at the floor and saw many broken toys and other objects on the floor around him,he curiously then lifted his hands out to reach for a toy.

The child froze as he looked at his little hands in confusion before he looked at his body,he then got up and began slowly moving towards a bronze mirror that was placed in the corner.

The child looked at himself, his black eyes and hair, he then turned around and walked towards a servant, his hands were behind his back as he calmly looked at the servant.

"Tell me what is my name" the boy said with extreme calm.

"I-I your highness's name is ying Zheng" the servant said with some fear after hesitating for a moment.

"Hmm" the child nodded then walked to a balcony..

He overlooked the grand palace and only stared at the sky…

'I Qin Shi Huang, have been reborn is it your will?' He thought as he looked intently at the sky,before he began to shift through his memory's.

"Interesting" the boy said out loud as he walked deep into the palace…..

Kai lei woke up yawning and was about to head down the tree when he saw over a dozen silhouettes in the dark below him.

Curious he narrowed his eyes to look down,he saw many figures holding weapons ,he then saw them start to search his stuff.

Kai lei didn't care as he only had some food and water in there, he stared silently as the figures started to talk.

"You said he was here" said a man with glasses very angry

"He was here, I saw it" said a scrawny old man

"Hmph" the tall man scoffed and began to look around.

"His stuff is here,so he is nearby probably just out for now, everyone hide and when the child comes, we will ambush him and kill him after he tells us where he hid the money " said the man with glasses adjusting them, the others nodded with his reasoning and grudgingly began to hide.

Kai lei heard the conversation and was calm, he stared down each of the peoples hiding places before slowly pulling out the dagger out of his inventory slowly he put the dagger between his teeth and slowly climbed down.

He knew they wanted him dead but he really underestimated this world if even a few people wanted to kill a child, shaking his head his eyes grew firm,auntie can tolerate it but uncle can not, he looked up at the stars and looked back down with determination.

If this world was so cruel then so be it, he can be cruel to….

After climbing down he lowered himself and began to sneak towards a figure, he tried his best not to step on anything as he went, but nevertheless he still made some noise.

Luck was on his side as the figure he approached didn't seem to bother looking behind him.

"Did you see the child yet" the figure whispered as Kai lei leisurely came behind him.

"Yeah" Kai leis childish whisper went into the man's ear, the man widened his eyes and turned around, Kai lei struck the knife in the man's throat sealing his fate.

Kai lei wiped the knife on the man's clothes before sneaking towards the next hiding spot as silently as posible.

He reached the next hiding place where a person lay silently, he crept up and ended the man's life.

Kai lei then slowly went to a few more hiding places and killed them when there were only 4-5 people left he got up and went to the middle of the clearing..

Kai lēi pretended to stumble to make some noise .

*crack*

He stepped on a branch, in the bushes the man with glasses lit up and grabbing a pointy stick he rushed out shouting.

"NOW!!" His voice reached the others and the quickly ran out.

Kai lei saw this and didn't even care, the 4-5 people quickly surrounded him.

"Oi kid, where's the money" said a tall man looking at Kai lei with greed and anger.

" stupidity runs in your family huh" Kai lei leisurely said as he dashed towards one of the figures.

Before the man could fully comprehend what's happening, Kai lei struck the man in the skull,Kai lei Widened his pupils as he struggled to push through the skull, but exerting his force one more time, blood splattered all over with some brain matter all over him.

"This is so not like the movies" Kai lei mumbled and though he was shocked, rushed to the next figure.

The people saw this and their legs began shaking,the man with glasses panicked and quickly shouted.

"All together!!" The others reacted and began rushing towards the child, only looking at him as a money bag.

Kai lei slowly backed away after slashing another enemy dead, until he reached a tree, the others saw this and were excited.

"Child give us the money and we'll let you live" the tall man said arrogantly.

The man with glasses saw this and frowned.

"No, you promised me brother" he said outloud.

The tall man looked at him like he was looking at a dummy ,glasses saw this and realized.

Smiling he looked at the child and said in a coaxing voice.

" yeah child give us the money and we'll let you go" .

Kai lei looked at the 3 people left and said.

"Which one of you is the mastermind" his calm voice startled the 3 people.

"Enough" said the third person, a scrawny looking man in his 40's, and reached out to grab the child.

Kai lei thought that he couldn't get the information so he jumped up and with both hands stabbed the man in the chest multiple times as he fell to the ground.

Before the others could start running away in fear,he aimed for their legs with a fast speed.

"Aaaagh!!!!" The two men cried out as Kai lei disabled their legs, if he was a few seconds slower than the two would have ran in separate directions..

The two started frantically waving their weapons around trying desperately to hit the child, but Kai lei just stayed away,they shouted trying to get attention but Kai lei only laughed and after the were exhausted He punched the man with glasses in the face a couple times before shaking his hand.

"Wa-Wshat FOPHR" said the man with glasses as he spat out blood and teeth.

The two have long since turned into a disheveled pair of dogs.

Kai lei only glanced before looking at the tall man.

"Die for me!" Said the tall man as he stabbed out with a rusty iron knife

"You do realize, you're only delaying the inevitable" Kai lei said barley dodging the knife as it cut some of his hair.

He punched the man's elbow and grabbed the knife as it dropped from his hand, ruthlessly stabbing the man's knee.

"Aaaagh, I'll kill you,I'll kill your entire family!!" The tall man shouted.

Kai lei ignored him as he didn't know if he even had a family,rolling his eyes he said.

"Who sent you?"

The man spat at Kai lei, spit hit Kai lei's face and he wiped it, smiling Kai lei said.

"Well, Well, Well, who sent you?" and twisted the knife.

The man only grunted slightly.

Kai lei asked questions for over 10 minutes , but the man only spat and laughed at his face .

Kai lei had enough nonsense and ended the man's suffering painlessly, he then turned to the man with glasses

The man was shaking with fear and began to mutter senselessly.

"I will reach the pinnacle,I'm the chosen, I have the ultimate" he muttered more and more incomprehensible words than the last, his pale complexion a drastic change from his original self.

Kai lei saw this and didn't care,he knew this man deserves pain for what he did, but that didn't mean he would torture him..

"Confess to your crimes" Kai leis childish voice echoed in the man's ears.

"M-My crimes?, I'm innocent" the man said as he snapped out of his mental breakdown.

"Innocent?" Kai lei's expression on his face was frozen.

"Innocent?!?" Kai lei said again in disbelief.

"Yeah I'm innocent, you better let me go or I'll call the police" the man said, his mind has long since tricked himself into believing he was innocent..

Kai lei looked up at the stars in the sky for a second before slapping the shit out of the man.

"INNOCENT!!!, YOU?!?" Kai lei shouted in anger.

"CONFESS YOUR SINS!!" His voice was like a lion's roar, shaking even the man in the trees dizzy.

The man's glasses fell down as he come back to his senses.

" I-I am innocent" the man said .

" DID YOU KILL THOSE INNOCENT CHILDREN!!!" He shouted out as he backhanded the man in the face.

Rubbing his hands he saw the man on the floor trembling.

" the system told me to" he whispered.

" CONFESS AND I SHALL RELEASE YOU" Kai lei shouted into the man's ears making the eardrums bleed..

"I-I okay" the man finally began to speak of his sins as his greed for life overshadowed all..

Kai lei listened to the man's crimes slowly, his face grew darker and pale with each crime the man confessed to.

The man in the trees wanted to give the man below with glasses a hundred thousand cuts for what he heard,but he barely held himself back..

Kai lei finally listened to the man's last crime before the man happily smiled .

"Can you let me go now?, oh and call 911 I'm hurt." he said with a happy tone,while looking at his injuries.

Kai lei looked at the man and said slowly.

"Do,you,think,that,this,is,the,21st century?"

The man didn't understand Kai lei's meaning and said.

"Yeah it is the 21st, call 911, you said you would release me" he said with a smile.

Kai lei was speechless for a moment ,getting up he slowly spoke.

" okay I'll release you" Kai lei looked up at the stars and a few tears came down.

Slashing the man's throat he continued to look up at the stars while mumbling.

"I'm sorry,children may you rest easy knowing that you're avenged as for the others you to shall rest assured." and ignoring the man's unwilling eyes he slowly walked away.

Kai lei nodded acknowledging the gift.

"Tell that system farewell for me, and choose a better host next time" Kai lei said and then climbed a tree looking at the stars lost in thought.

The system didn't respond as it knew its host was very depressed..

After a long while Kai lei watched the sunrise and wiped his tears.

"*sniff* sign in system" he said regaining his confidence, Kai lei knew he could do anything for those lost but maybe if he had the strength he could do something…

As soon as he said it he felt extremely terrible all over his body he wanted to cry out in pain but found he lost his voice, Kai lei sat in the tree scrunched up into a ball.

After an entire hour of continuous pain and suffering his body finally calmed down,Kai lei took slow breaths as he wiped the dirt and sweat from his forehead.

Kai lei looked down at the small booklet in his hand and flipped through it slowly,after reading the entire book the book turned into mist and entered his body.

"So it's like that" Kai lei muttered as he looked over the horizon….
