Zoran grabbed my hand and asked in a deep voice, "You're wearing such high heels, and you're running in them?"
I frowned, not understanding why Zoran was asking this out of the blue.
But turning to see Granger's figure clumsily bumping into things in the distance, I couldn't help but worry.
"Mr. Gevano should focus on looking after your own girlfriend."
With that, I quickly caught up and took Zoran's hand.
Zoran, looking at that retreating figure and his own now-empty hand, felt for the first time an emotion called disappointment.
It tugged at his heart, causing a faint ache.
"I just counted to ten. If you'd been a second later, the Belmont family's rescue plan would have been called off."
I was speechless, even thinking Granger was being a bit childish.
The condition for my marriage to Granger was that the Belmont family would help rescue my father.
