I pulled Granger back a step and said, "I'm so sorry, but I'm already engaged. I wouldn't bother with trash like you!"
Brent was used to being insulted, so he naturally didn't get upset.
He smiled and reached out to put his arm around my shoulder, but Granger grabbed his hand and twisted it back. There was a loud crack as it broke.
"Ahhh!!!!"
Brent's pig-like squeal echoed throughout the hall.
I looked at Granger's calm demeanor, but inside I was sweating bullets for him.
There were no elders present at this event, so it's likely no one would recognize Granger.
If he didn't know how to restrain his sharp edge, trouble would surely come knocking.
With a thunderous bang, the doors behind us burst open.
Even Brent forgot to howl in pain.
"Felicity!"
"Did you say you're engaged?"
Zoran stood in the doorway, radiating hostility.
Zoran strode towards me, pulling me over before anyone could react:
"Don't tell me you're engaged to this blind guy?"
