"I have never thought of falling for any of my targets , it was completely business everytime I went out to kill them. And you know that ,so how can you ask me that ?".

"What do you want me to say ,Alara?. We all are surprised by it ,how did our best emotionless killer sil and fall for her target and one who was on top of the list of threats to us "

She breathed but before she could say anything the guy who was seated behind her stood up.

Adrian had been watching him , he seemed to be on his phone but something about him felt alarming.

Dressed in blue jean jacket with a black undershirt and black jeans .

His hair was down parted in the middle different from his usually slick back style.

He raised his eyebrow with a smirk on his face ,his hand rested on Alara's seat .

"It's because she literally slid that night and fell for me after I helped her up ".he muttered.

Alara rolled her eyes and looked up at him.

"What are you talking about ?" She looked pissed .

Adrian frowned , she didn't seem surpised to see him there .

"You knew he was here ?" he asked her.

She looked back at him not answered.

Adrian scoffed , "wow your really under his control now " he stated.

"No am not , I just can't stop him from stalking me " she muttered.

Adrian gazed up at Rae who didn't seem to care .

"Am not under anyone's control "she yelled getting up .

Adrian grabbed her hand stopping her .

"I ordered strawberry cake " he whispered to her.

"Really ?".

He nodded taking over her seat ,then pulled her down to sit on his lap .

"It's right there " he pointed at the waiter coming towards them.

Alara's eyes sparkled as she watched it being brought up to the table.

Rae took broke a piece with a spoon and bought it to her , she took it in and smiled as it melted in her mouth .

He chuckled when she asked for another.

Adrian quietly watched them his eyes stuck on her face.

Never had she ever smiled like that ,he had never seen that warm happy smile on her face. He thought she couldn't even smile like that.....

What was different about him that he could bring out a smile like that from her. Sitting on his lap and enjoying a cake, all eyes where on her in the cafe but she didn't seem to mind at all. All her attention was on the cake and Rae holding her affectionately by the waist to keep her in place.

"Alara ?" He called to her.

"Mmm...." her now big excited eyes met his .

"You never smiled like that with me or ever have ". He commented.

She stopped sitting up ,Rae strong warm chest felt so good she couldn't resist to lean in further.

"Huh, I wasn't smiling " she denied.

He chuckled ,she didn't even realise how much she was changing and kept denying it.

She hated being under the public eye but here she was being held and fed by Rae like it was something normal to them.

He stood up grabbing his coat and walked off without saying anything.

She watched him leave in confusion .

"Should we get more to take home ?" Rae asked her .

She nodded licking her lips .

"Boss if we do this ,it might put Scarlet and her family in danger . More so us and our family will be killed if we are found out " Sally muttered.

Adrian sighed moving to input his password into the computer.

"Don't worry I will take all the responsibility" he answered.

Sally took a deep breath and went on ahead to do what she was told .

He was her boss and she would do anything he told her but they all knew how much he cared for Scarlet .

They knew he liked her so much he always protected or defended her .

But now here he was giving her permission to do something that would hurt her ,something that would put her family ,the same one he always worried about in danger.

Had something ghad between them?, but he rarely stayed angry at her or never did . So what was it she had done to him to make Adrian go to such lengths to hurt her.

Scarlet was her friend too, they rarely talked but she always helped when she wanted help . She was hestitate to pressed the last instruction into the computer.

Looking back at Adrian she asked again.

"Is it really okay for me to do this ....it's going to hurt her "

"Your not supposed to question me Sally. Do it before I get angry at you " he muttered.

She gulped and went ahead doing what he had commanded.

Then grabbed her things and walked out .

Adrian sighed looking back his window . Something heavy weighed down on his chest but he pushed it said ,he seemed determined to do it.

"Don't blame me , you made me do it " he murmured.

Alara had decided to pass by her parents place since she had got some cake to share , especially for her sister.

But was informed that they had gone out to watch movie. Rae had left already after he dropped her , he had got a call from his mother about business so he had to leave.

Alone at home she decided to lay down in her room and watch TV while she waited for them to return.

A few minutes later she heard the maid downstairs yelling then the sound went cold . Quietly she listened and soon heard heavy footsteps heading upstairs.

Her killer instincts kicked in and she instantly moved to grab her bag to pulling out her gun , stealthy moving behind the bedroom door she got ready for the intruders .
