"It seems sister in law really did return to work " said Charlotte entering the study.

"Yes she did , and has been busy since she returned".

"What do you think happen between them, they can't just be so close one minute then spend days apart " Charlotte asked.

"You should ask you brother , he must have done something to annoy her. For I was able to get some photos of her recent missons and its ...different " she muttered.

Charlotte moved closer to look at the files her mother had handled over.

"But she has always been bloody , it's like if she doesn't leave a bloody scene then it's not her " she looked down at the photos and frowned.

"It's not only bloody anymore , she is killing them slowly like she is torturing them . Making them suffer ,bleed out before she kills them ".said her mother.

"Mother why are we letting her go ahead with this. She had decided to stop and come be with brother ,so why don't we try talking to her ?"'Charlotte said.

Her mother sighed.

"Alara never said she quit being Scarlet or left the organisation. Yes alot of things happen between her and them but she is still the best they have. They can't discard her yet"

"Isn't it about Grandfather's deal?".

"Even if your grandfather didn't intervene they wouldn't dispose of her so easily. And he thought it would keep her away from Rae but it failed " explained her mother.

"But she is pregnant and engaged to brother we can't let her be putting her life in danger like that ".

"She is a grown woman and has her own life. Remember she was living that sort of life before your brother came in or the baby . You need to let her decide for herself what is more important "

Charlotte threw the photos back on the table.

"I hate this mother ...brother was starting to smile , cook and even make jokes with us when he was with her, he was being a brother I always wanted not the head of the family or the heir of biggest company ". She sat down.

"And Alara ?"asked her mother.

"She wasn't Scarlet anymore but my sister in law . A sweet shy woman who doesnt even know if she has hobbies and is too naive to even realise she has feelings for brother ".

Her mother chuckled.

"She knows ".

"Ahhh".

"I believe Alara knows she has feelings for your brother ,but hasn't fully admitted it " said her mother.

"Should we tell brother maybe it will help with his mood?". suggested Charlotte.

"No, let's leave this to them...I believe they will find a way to solve it "

Ivana walked in , "No they won't ....he won't believe her anymore ".

Charlotte scoffed , "so it's true you did something ".

"I only told him the truth " she said.

"What you did was lie....we didn't say anything cause we wanted to find out if it was true " said Charlotte

"What are you talking about ...I did nothing but say the truth "

Charlotte felt her mother standing up and walking to Ivana.

She rested her hand on her shoulder with a smile on her face.

"I don't care if your his chosen bride or whatever but if you can't play fair then I will make you pay for hurting Scarlet and my grandchild "

Ivana frowned as she lowered the part of her shoulder that Rae's mother was touching. She was pressing down on it digging her nails deep into her skin.

"Mother your hurting me " she cried out.

"Am not doing anything but she will when she finally returns " she muttered.

"I didn't do anything to her " Ivana still denied.

"Meeting with the man and saying lies about her wasn't nothing" Ivana heard her voice turn into whisper she got closer ."you better hide for she isnt letting this go ".

Pushing her back , Ivana bumped into the door .

"Now leave for the sight of your face makes me sick".

Ivana gulped surpised by the treatment she was getting . They used not to like her but treated her like family but never like this .

"Mother ..." She cried out.

"I said leave " her voice was stern and cold that Ivana left instantly.

She rushed out in tears , this was all Alara 's fault . And how had they found out about Adrain , and if they knew that meet ,grandfather knew too.

She rushed to his room still in tears.

He glanced up at her and went back to the book he was reading .

"Mother has never treated me that way " she cried.

"I brought you hear to be my grandson's bride for I know I trained you to be the best partner for him . But instead decided to be like her and meet with that man . Don't you know his with that organisation"

"I didn't know Grandfather, he called me asking for a meet up with claim he could expose Alara's secrets so I agreed " she lied.

He sighed.

"You should have told me "

"Am sorry ,I should have thought about it " she cried.

"They broke off the deal we had with them". He said.

"Huh....what happened ? Aren't they afaird of what wil lhappen ?" She asked.

"With her back with them willingly maybe something changed ".

"What will we do now ?".

"We wait and see, for now they can't make a move on my grandson with her being there again" he let out.

"Will she return ?" Ivana asked.

"She hasn't been home for three days now and my grandson didn't do anything about it " he explained.

His eyes shifted to her .

"This is your chance to make your move...he must be hurt so use this chance to show support and be there for him " he said to Ivana.

She nodded .

"I will give it my best " she smiled.

After she left ,Ivana moved to Rae's room knocking . Not getting a reply she opened the door and walked into the dark room.

She could see his frame close the window ,he was seated in a chair in silence.

"Rae ..." She called . But he didn't reply .

Ivana moved kneeling down as she slid her hand into his . But he immediately pulled away.

"Who told you to come in here ,leave " he said.

"Am sorry about what happened and am worried about you " she muttered.

"Leave " he said again.

"Rae you need someone to be beside you especially now that you know how bad that woman was " sheuttered.

He was up before she realised ,his hand grabbing her by the neck.

With ease he raised her bumping her body in the wall , he squeezed.

She gulped feeling the oxygen being cut off from her lungs .
