"Master"

Susu had to pay for his audacity. Raikishi used her powers to lead her descendant out of the hotel while Anon was in the bathroom and taking a shower. When he returned, they were already here. Susu looked offended and dissatisfied, while Raikishi looked satisfied.

Anon didn't ask what had happened. He checked his things and took a look at Raikishi.

"Ancestor Raikishi, what's next?" he asked. His question made Raikishi uneasy. She didn't like the way Anon called her an ancestor.

"Master! From now on, call me your master. Not an ancestor or a Raikishi. And the Master!" said Raikishi urgently.

"Master?" asked Anon, startled by her demand.

"Yes, from now on, I will not only keep an eye on you, but also give advice, as well as answer some of your questions. Do you think that I, as the ancestor of Susu, will help you just like that and answer your endless questions? If you don't recognize me as your master, then don't expect me to answer all your questions and give you advice. I will only keep an eye on you so that you don't die prematurely," Raikishi explained her demands.

After hearing this, Anon thought for a while and came to the conclusion that recognizing Raikishi as his master was a great idea. It's not every day that you get the chance to recognize a Rank 8 creature as a master, even without being an awakened beast tamer or beast lord.

"Good," Anon agreed.

"The disciple greets the master!" Anon Raikishi bowed. When she saw the bow, she raised her small muzzle up, accepting the greeting and pretending to be proud of her new student.

"From now on, you are my first official disciple. I've never taken on such a responsibility in my entire life. Although I have given advice or taught some people and beasts, I have never recognized them as my disciples. Even his descendants," Raikishi said, letting Anon know what an honor he had been given.

"Hmph,— Susu snorted, watching the performance put on by her ancestor and Anon. She was willing to accept Anon as her master and partner, but not her ancestor. The longer she stayed with her, the more she became convinced that she was just a nuisance and constantly annoying her.

She understood that she had to show respect to her ancestor, but the way this old fox was addressing and sticking to Anon made her angry. Anon belongs only to her, and to no one else, not even her ancestor. The longer she thought about it, the more dangerous her gaze directed at the ancestor became.

Raikishi, thanks to their connection, clearly felt her descendant's mood changing. She understood the young fox's thoughts and jealousy well. Raikishi was aware that if she wasn't stopped, it could lead to serious consequences.

However, instead of helping her, she deliberately fueled her jealousy. She was curious to know how patient her descendant was. It was a dangerous game, but Raikishi believed that she was acting in the best interests of her descendant.

After Anon recognized Raikishi as his master, the trio had breakfast in the inn's dining room before leaving. The breakfast wasn't as sumptuous as Anon and Susu were used to, but there was no choice. After eating what was offered, they left the inn.

There was no time for a walk and a tour of the city, so they quickly set off in the direction of Region No. 03.

This time, Raikishi did not carefully hide her presence. High-ranking beasts could have discovered her if they had tried. Shadow Wolf still couldn't sleep properly and calm down after the night meeting. He watched the whole city with caution.

It wasn't difficult for him to discover Raikisha's location. He did not close his eyes until he was sure that the old fox had left his city. His she-wolves were also watching the inn, so that if anything happened, they would intervene immediately and not give Raikishi a reason to visit again.

It was only after making sure that the fox had left the city that he and his she-wolves breathed a sigh of relief and calmed down. They were glad that the fox did nothing, which surprised everyone very much. During her last three visits, Raikishi swept by like a storm, sweeping away everything in her path and taking everything that caught her eye.

Even worse, they had heard and confirmed the rumors that this old fox had visited not only their city, but also the nearby cities of the beast sub-region. And everywhere she did as she pleased, taking whatever she wanted. So the Shadow Wolf had friends in misfortune. He was glad that he was not the only one suffering from the oppression of the fox.

"She has left the city and is heading to Region No. 03, Bera!" The Shadow Wolf said in his mind.

"What?! Really? Is she on her way here already?" an enthusiastic, impatient female voice rang out, making the Wolf's right eye twitch. Out of desperation, even he, a rank seven beast, wanted to rub his temples.

"Yes," Shadow Wolf replied with annoyance. "Be serious, Bera! Report to the Lord of the city that a disaster is heading his way."

At least this made Shadow Wolf a little happy—that disaster was flying to his other "friend", and that now it wasn't his problem.

"Good!" a woman's voice was heard with even more enthusiasm.

"Eh..." thought Shadow Wolf, and all he had to do was pray for his "friend", the Lord of the city of the beast sub—region, so that trouble would pass him and his city by.

While the Shadow Wolf was calming down and praying for his "friend", there was another young Shadow Wolf walking in the center of the city, whom the Shadow Wolf called Bera. She had a smile on her face and excitement in her mind.

Late last night, when she was giving "lessons" to the storm wolves of Region No.03 in the neutral sub-region, her ancestor reported through a mental link that her teacher was looking for her. Bera was so surprised that she forgot about her students and hurried towards the city of the beast sub-region.

She couldn't calm down the whole way to the city. She wanted so much to see her "teacher" and finally get recognition from her and become her real disciple.

And so, just as she entered the city, her ancestor informed her that her "teacher" had left the ancestor's city and was heading here.

"Ah, finally!" said Bera mentally with a dreamy smile. She was looking forward to the moment when she would see her "teacher" teaching "lessons" to another Lord of the city. This expectation haunted her, and she imagined the whole process in her mind. Bera clearly remembered the "lessons" that Raikishi had given her ancestor. This time, she replaced the Shadow Wolf with the ancestor of the Lord of the Storm Leopards. The thought made her smile wider and wider.

With a wide grin on her face, she finally reached the city center. To the surrounding beasts and humans, the Shadow Wolf of the fifth rank seemed like a madman. Her wide smile and periodic giggling caused goosebumps in many of the lower ranks. Some of them chose to escape, while the braver ones wanted to witness this unusual sight, staying at a safe distance.

The lord of this city was Windy Leopard, a sixth-rank beast lord. Behind him, as if hiding in the shadows, his ancestor, the seventh—rank Storm Leopard, was watching. In this city, all the guards and servants of the sixth rank beast lord were representatives of the feline race.

Bera stopped when she reached the gate leading to the Lord's building. She had a wide grin on her face.

The guards, noticing the visitor, instantly became alert. Their intentions were obvious—they wanted to attack her immediately. Bera's smile caused them great concern and irritation.

"Let me in! I have brought a message from the Lord of the city of the beast sub—region of Region No. 07, as well as a message from my teacher!" commanded Bera. Her tone was full of disrespect, and her behavior was reckless and asking for trouble.

The guards, in the end, did not resist. They felt the power of the fifth rank and did not want to start a battle in the center of the city, so they let her inside. They weren't afraid that she might cause trouble. There were several sixth-rank beast lords in the Lord's building at this moment, and it was a piece of cake for them to suppress a fifth-rank beast.
