Chapter 11: The First Fight
Kristen had been at the estate for a few weeks now, and she was starting to get accustomed to the routine. Antonio's men were always around, watching her every move, but she had learned to ignore them.
One day, while Kristen was walking in the gardens, she stumbled upon Victor and another man, Marco, arguing. Their voices were hushed, but Kristen could sense the tension between them.
As she approached, Marco noticed her and sneered. "Well, well, well, look what we have here," he said, his eyes roaming over Kristen's body.
Victor stepped forward, his eyes flashing with anger. "Marco, back off," he warned.
But Marco just laughed. "Or what? You'll tell Antonio?" he sneered.
Kristen felt a surge of fear as Marco took a step closer to her. But before he could do anything, Victor intervened, pushing Marco away.
The two men began to fight, their punches flying as they clashed. Kristen watched in horror, unsure of what to do.
Just as it seemed like Victor was gaining the upper hand, Antonio appeared out of nowhere, his eyes blazing with anger.
"Enough!" he roared, his voice echoing through the gardens.
The fighting stopped, and Marco backed away, his eyes darting nervously to Antonio.
Antonio's gaze flicked to Kristen, and for a moment, she thought she saw a flicker of concern. But then his expression hardened, and he turned to Victor.
"Take Kristen inside," he ordered.
Victor nodded, escorting Kristen away from the scene.
As they walked, Kristen couldn't help but wonder what had just happened. And why Antonio had intervened.
.As Victor escorted Kristen away from the scene, she couldn't help but wonder what had just happened. And why Antonio had intervened.
"Victor, what's going on?" Kristen asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Victor glanced around nervously before leaning in close. "Marco's been causing trouble for weeks," he whispered. "And Antonio's getting tired of it."
Kristen's eyes widened as she realized the implications. "What's going to happen to Marco?" she asked.
Victor's expression turned grim. "I don't know, but I have a feeling it's not going to be good."
Just then, a loud shout echoed through the gardens, followed by the sound of footsteps pounding the pavement.
"Marco, you're a dead man!" Antonio's voice thundered through the air.
Kristen's heart skipped a beat as she realized Antonio was closing in on Marco mood
As Antonio's voice thundered through the air, Kristen felt a chill run down her spine. She knew that Antonio was a powerful man, but she had never seen him so angry before.
Victor grabbed her arm, pulling her away from the scene. "Come on, Kristen, let's get out of here," he said, his voice low and urgent.
Kristen nodded, following Victor as he led her away from the gardens. They walked quickly, their footsteps echoing off the walls.
As they walked, Kristen couldn't help but wonder what had just happened. Why had Marco and Victor been fighting? And what had Antonio meant by his ominous warning?
She turned to Victor, asking him the questions that were swirling in her mind. But Victor just shook his head, his expression grim.
"I'll tell you later, Kristen," he said. "Right now, we need to get you to safety."
Kristen nodded, feeling a surge of fear. What was going on? And why did she feel like she was in danger?
As they approached the estate, Kristen saw Antonio's men gathered outside. They were all armed, their faces tense with anticipation.
Victor led her past them, into the safety of the estate. But Kristen knew that she wasn't safe, not really. She was trapped in Antonio's world, subject to his whims and desires.
And as she looked around at the opulent decorations, Kristen felt a sense of unease. She was a prisoner in this gilded cage, and she had no idea how to escape.
