He saw her

Alexander moved swiftly through the warehouse, his heartbeat steady despite the storm of rage inside him. Every muscle in his body was coiled, ready to strike. He had trained for moments like this, but this was differents, this was Mia. His wife. The mother of his child. And anyone who stood in his way was already dead. They just didn't know it yet.

He spotted a guard near the entrance smoking casually. A fatal mistake. Alexander struck like lighting, a sharp twist of the wrist snapping the man's neck before he could react. The body crumpled silently.

Inside, dimfluorescent light flickered casting eerie shadows on creates stacked high. He navigated the narrow pathways, listening for Mia. Then he heard it- her voice.

"I'm counting on it,"

It came from deeper inside. His grip tightened on his gun as he advanced.

Mia's Defiance.

Mia stared at the man in front of her, forcing herself to remain calm. She was bound, but her mind was free- and she was not about to break.

The man smirked."You're not afraid, are you?"

Mia lifted her chin."Should I be?"

His amusement deepened."You should. Because soon,Alexander will walk into a trap, and when he does... "He traced an imaginary line across his throat.

Mia's blood ran cold, but she didn't let it show. Instead, she leaned forward.

"You don't know him."

A sudden crash echoed through the warehouse following by a sharp cry of pain . The man's smirk faltered.

He was here.

The Rescue

Alexander struck fast. the first shot took down a guard who had barely turned the corner. The second sent another man sprawling.

Then he saw her.

Mia was bound, her hair dishevelled but her eyes fierce. The moment their gazes locked, she exhaled in relief.

Before her captor could react, Alexander fired. The bullet grazed the man's shoulder, sending him staggering back with a curse.

"You!" The man snared.

Alexander was already moving. He closed the distance in seconds, slamming his fist into the man's face. The crunch of bones was satisfying.

The man hit the ground, groaning ,but Alexander wasn't finished. He grabbed him by the collar. "Who sent you?"

The man spat blood, laughing. " you'll never stop it."

Alexander didn't hesitate. One more punch, and the man was out cold.

Then he turned to Mia, kneeling before her. His hands trembled slightly as he united her."Are you okey?"

She nodded, wrapping her arms around him." I knew you'd come."

But he knew the wasn't over. Marco's plan -project Paragon- was still in motion. And whoever had ordered this attack.... they would pay.

Because new, it's was war.
