In this chapter, I'll explain the skill [Ei], its mechanics, and its importance within the story.
***
What is [Ei]?
[Ei] is a skill exclusively possessed by Vampires. It serves as an ability to analyze and interpret the magion of other beings, making it an invaluable tool in understanding both allies and enemies.
While [Sei] focuses inward, [Ei] looks outward, allowing Vampires to gain critical information about the world and people around them.

What Does [Ei] Reveal?
When [Ei] is activated, it reads the magion of a target and extracts the following information:
Skills: A list of the target's known skills.
Magion Type: The unique type of magion the target possesses, revealing their Race.
Threat Level: An evaluation of how dangerous the target is, based on their magion and abilities.
However, there is one major limitation:
Magion Quantity: [Ei] cannot determine the exact amount of magion a being possesses unless they are a Vampire.
This flaw exists because the magion of other races differs significantly in structure and wavelength, making it difficult to measure their total capacity.

How Does [Ei] Work?
[Ei] works by detecting and interpreting the magion "data" that every being emits. Since magion contains the essence of a being's existence, [Ei] can effectively "read" a person's identity and capabilities.
This skill requires concentration and sharp instincts to use effectively. When it is used it causes a spike in the users magion alerting the one it is being used on. Only Vampires can sense this spike.
This was the reason why Silver did not use [Ei] on Alexander in Chapter 8
***
Why is [Ei] Exclusive to Vampires?
The exclusivity of [Ei] lies in the unique structure of Vampire magion. Unlike other races, Vampires' magion shares a similar wavelength, allowing them to interpret one another's essence with high accuracy.
For other races, their magion differs so much that [Ei] cannot produce consistent results. This is also why [Ei] can estimate a Vampire's magion quantity but cannot do the same for other races.
This concludes the explanation of [Ei]. Hopefully, this chapter has provided you with a clearer understanding of its mechanics and significance. In the next auxiliary chapter, I'll explain more about [Sei]
