In this chapter, I'll explain what magion is, how it works, and why it plays such a critical role in the world of the story.
***
What is Magion?
Magion is the fundamental essence of existence. It is present in everything, both living and nonliving, and acts as the core energy that binds the world together. Without magion, existence itself would be impossible.
Magion serves multiple purposes:
Source of Life: It sustains living beings and connects them to the world.
Measure of Power: It determines the strength of a being.
Energy for Magic: Magion is the fuel that powers all magical abilities.
***
The Nature of Magion
Magion is unique to every being, like a fingerprint or a soul. However, there are certain patterns that emerge within races:
Vampires: Their magion wavelengths are similar, allowing skills like [Ei] to interpret them more easily. It is even more so for blood relatives.
Other Races: Their magion differs significantly in structure and behavior, making it harder to analyze using [Ei]
Interestingly, even nonliving things possess magion, though it exists in a dormant state. This is why objects can sometimes be enchanted or manipulated through magical means. Like Bloodless Weapons.

Why is Magion Important?
Magion isn't just energy—it holds the very "data" of a being's existence. Everything about a being, including their abilities, memories, and even their essence, is encoded within their magion.
This is why certain skills, like [Sei] and [Ei], can extract detailed information from magion. It's also why magion depletion leads to dire consequences:
If a living being's magion is completely drained, they cease to exist.
***
Magion as a Measure of Power
A being's strength is often determined by the quantity and quality of their magion. This is why magion is used as a gauge for assessing threat levels. The stronger and more refined someone's magion, the more powerful they are.
However, magion alone isn't enough. Skills and ability also play a crucial role.
***
The Limitations of Magion
Despite its power, magion is not infinite. Every action—whether magical, or skill-based—consumes magion. Overusing it can lead to severe consequences:
Physical and mental exhaustion.
Inability to cast magic.
Magion depletion, which triggers Second Sleep.
(Second Sleep will be briefly explained by Silver in Chapter 13.)
Total magion depletion, which results in death.
Magion is also vulnerable to manipulation. Certain skills or spells can drain, suppress, or corrupt magion, making it a double-edged sword.

This concludes the explanation of magion. Hopefully, this chapter has provided you with a clearer understanding of its mechanics and significance. In the next auxiliary chapter, I'll explain more about [Ei]
