As his gaze reached the farmer, confusion filled his head as he saw a gaze of absolutely no remorse on the farmer's face.
"Good work, mutt," the farmer muttered coldly with an ugly smile strewn across his face, "You must be proud of yourself for being able to accomplish protecting the farm eh?"
Suddenly, the farmer's face contorted with rage as his attitude dropped.
"Nine sheep! Nine!" he shouted as he kicked Boy as hard as he could, "I summoned you to protect my flock, and you let nine of them die!"
"Good work? Tch! Do not joke with me," he clicked his tongue, "You are useless!"
"You are simply a tool! A tool!" he shouted, his voice emanating pure anger and frustration, "A tool should be able to do its purpose. And you? You are a failed tool…"
At this, the farmer's body began to grow calm as he got closer to Boy and spoke in his ear, "You know what is supposed to be done with broken and failed tools? You discard them."
Boy's world began to spin as searing pain pulsed through his body but, for a fleeting moment, a newfound clarity washed over him.
'So this is what I am… a tool…'
This thought emerged as memories of his past human life flickered in his mind- people who had used and discarded him, and now, even in this form, history had ended up repeating itself.
'Am I to be just a tool?'
This thought began to repeat itself in the Boy's head, starting as a small stream before it began to flood his head.
"Hahahahaha!" the farmer laughed as he saw the defeat in Boy's eyes, "Yes! Feel that despair and defeat! You can only blame your own weakness for this. This is how the world works… Only the strong are able to survive! Blame your own weakness!"
…
Like a drop in an ocean, a new word entered his head…
And this word was simple, yet it seemed to be able to calm that mess that his head had gone into.
Boy's eyes went blank, confusing the farmer.
'Weakness…'
This thought fell into his head like a drop in an empty container…
A slow humming vibration began to sound from Boy as the hackles on his tail began to vibrate…
'Blame my own weakness…'
Multiple drops…
The slow humming began to get louder, now being audible to the farmer as he was left surprised by the sudden humming.
The vibration then rose upwards as the hackles on his lower half now began to vibrate…
'Yes… that is it… I am far too weak…' a stream…
The slow humming now seemed to be escaping from the Boy's body as the farmer began to feel his body being slightly shaken by the vibrations.
All the hackles on Boy began to vibrate.
'Only the strong survive' multiple streams…
Vvvvvvv…
The slow humming vibration now began to shake the area around them as the pebbles and rocks on the ground began to vibrate and jump around and the farmer began to feel the vibration in his ears.
"What are you doing!" he asked shakily as fear began to creep into his features.
Alongside the vibrations, the lower hackles on the hyena began to take on a strange deep dark indigo colour.
'I loathe my weakness… I hate my weakness…'
A flood…
The humming now began to get so strong as even the air seemed to shake and small particles of Aether began to condense in a 10 metre sphere around Boy.
"STOP! STOP!" the farmer shouted in panic as he began to feel an immense sense of danger.
All the hackles on the boy now took on the deep dark indigo colour and in that instant, Boy's body began to slowly get up, the marks on his body beginning to glow with an intense neon purple.
'I HATE BEING WEAK!'
A tsunami…
The humming grew to a peak as cracks began to form on the ground and the small particles of Aether began to clump together into balls in a 50 metre sphere around Boy.
The hackles on Boy began to take on a silver glow that began to increase in intensity/
"I AM SORRY," the farmer shouted, trying to plead to Boy.
However, Boy stood unmoving, staring blankly at the floor. Fear and desperation fueling him, the farmer turned heel and retreated as fast as he could.
Or so he thought he could…
As soon as he had turned around, he found himself unable to move at all, as if the space around him had been locked in place. He looked on the ground and saw that the rocks that were vibrating initially had stopped moving and were even frozen in mid air.
The vibration had stopped, instead, it was replaced with a shivering soul-shaking silence.
Bringing his gaze back to the hyena, the farmer saw something that left him completely shocked.
Mini strings of deep dark indigo with a silver glow began to emerge from the Boy's hackles and began spreading in the air, slowly orbiting Boy.
In the instant, Boy's head shot up and stared straight at the farmer.
"Blame your own weakness," a deep low voice came out from the hyena as its mouth opened, shocking the farmer as his eyes widened.
"W-Wh-What… are you?" he stammered as he could not believe what he was looking at.
"Your retribution…" Boy replied as all the strings in the air suddenly froze and began straight lines that were all aimed at the farmer.
All the strings shot are lightspeed, striking the farmer, each strike erasing a piece of him as it left a white spot wherever it struck.
The farmer felt a searing pain, a pain that he had never experienced before. However, he found himself unable to say anything as by the moment, he was about to scream out in pain…
His whole body had turned into a white figure.
"From Dust You Came, And To Dust You Shall Return" Boy declared as in that instant, the farmer began to disintegrate, his particles being carried off by a wind.
And with that everything was silent as Boy fell unconscious and his body shone with a light and he disappeared.
