Synopsis

A person in their third year of high school, experiences the arrival of a divorce comeback system 20 years early. At 38 years old, with a failed marriage, standing at the crossroads of the established and confused years, you recall your young days with your childhood sweetheart. After marriage, you cut off contact and have no more news of her. Re-establishing contact with Xu Qianqian will reward you with 300 RMB. Eighteen-year-old Jiang Nian glanced at the system task on the panel and then at Xu Qianqian living next door, falling into deep thought. Hmm... it seems the system came early. There is another issue: who is the future ex-wife? Hmm... Jiang Nian couldn't hold back. Being eighteen every year, he foresees a divorce in the future. The system issues a task to take revenge on the future ex-wife. Jiang Nian looked at the un-darkened version of the future ex-wife in front of him and fell into thought again. The childhood sweetheart, future ex-wife, and future ex-girlfriend, all appear in their younger versions.

Tldr; Give this one a go, it’s funny and the MC is quite witty. Long version: The novel isn’t as serious as the synopsis implies. This is a very comedic novel, I had a lot of fun reading this. The system pretty much follows a ‘possible future’ in which things weren’t going to well for the MC. However, MC is still in high school, so he’s getting rewards for completing tasks that were catered to his older self (it makes sense in the novel). So as you can imagine, the tasks are generally easier to complete because he’s still in close contact with everyone lol. So far, the system has mostly offered monetary rewards, except once where he was given something special (not spoiling that, sorry) The humour is great, and the translator did an incredible job coveying the jokes. FYI, it helps to have a general understanding of Chinese colloquialisms, as the jokes make a little more sense then (for example, ‘your mum’ is an insult over there). All in all, a great novel. I had a blast reading this, and I highly recommend everyone to read this.

Came here for daily quest but didn't expect it to be good. Now I have finished all free chapters and have to say that although the title is not attractive, the story is quite decent.
