'Nina?'
The thought hit me before I even really processed who it was. Nina Shoka from my class. She was just walking along, probably listening to music, totally unaware that this car had lost control and was sliding right toward her.
I didn't think about it. Didn't weigh the pros and cons or consider my options. My legs just started moving.
I dropped my phone and sprinted toward her. The car was maybe three seconds away from hitting her when I slammed into her side, pushing her as hard as I could toward the sidewalk.
She went flying, landing hard on the concrete but definitely out of the car's path.
Me? Not so lucky.
The impact felt like getting hit by a train. One second I was pushing Nina to safety, the next I was flying through the air. Then I hit the ground and everything went wrong at once.
I couldn't move my legs. Couldn't really move much of anything, actually. There was this weird warm feeling spreading across my chest and stomach, and when I tried to breathe, it felt like drowning.
'Well, this sucks,' I thought, staring up at the sky. 'Guess that's what I get for being a hero.'
My vision started getting all swimmy and weird, but I could make out Nina crawling over to me. She had pulled out her earbuds and there were tears streaming down her face.
"Why did you do that?" she kept asking, over and over. "Why would you do that?"
I wanted to shrug, but my shoulders weren't really cooperating. It seemed pretty obvious to me - she was in trouble, so I helped. That's what you do, right? Nothing fancy about it.
She was talking to me, saying my name a lot. I didn't realize she even knew my name, to be honest. We had been in the same class for like three months and I don't think we had ever actually had a conversation.
"Kofi, stay with me, okay?" she was saying. "You're gonna be fine. The ambulance is coming."
Hehe, How are yall enjoying the cringe so far? I hope its to your liking. This review is mainly to thank you guys for reading. This is my first ever time writing romance after all. If you have any questions, ask below.
honestly very surprised by this novel. The characters are realistic to such a degree that reading about the shot they got themselves into and their reactions to it gives u the sort of cringe you get when u think about your own high school days. it's incredibly well written and like I said I think the novels strongest point is in it's characters realism. Only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the system low-key forcing him into shit,, tho it's all been for his own good so I hope that when he grows his self confidence the mission penalties will disappear
It's very high-school kid drama, and it's cringe inducing to read. The quality of the writing is pretty good for this site. The story so far is slow, and the chapters are short. The chapters later on are locked as well, and it just doesn't seem worth it.

I spent 10k points on Nina. idk know why. maybe this story is pretty good
Novels like this usually aren't my thing, but something about this is one just keeps me perfectly engaged
Writing quality is nice a bit corny but nothing beats a good old corny high school romance sometimes and this is a good one. I like the story but I like romance in general so I can see why some may not like it. Romance genre been getting filled with random unfun stuff personally so this is a good refresher. Nothing unique about the character designs, what you'd expect a romance novel but I like that there are no unfun tropes as of chapter 45 but that's just me thanks for that chief. Stable releases and basic close to real world background things keep it up fam.
Holy 𝔽𝕦𝕔𝕜𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕤𝕙𝕚𝕥 stop playing with my emotions like this. Your like their friends, their not friends, their friends, their not friends. I can't 𝔽𝕦𝕔𝕜𝕚𝕟𝕘 stand this, my emotions are getting 𝔽𝕦𝕔𝕜𝕖𝕕 with. Just be friends, I can't 𝔽𝕦𝕔𝕜𝕚𝕟𝕘 stand teenage drama. I want to climb into a hole and go back to my happy little op protagonist stories where he gets everything he wants. Don't get me wrong, this is a dam good story but I'm to sensitive and straightforward for it to be for me, but still give it a try because you might like it.
story is good and the writing is alright but the clingy level is of the chart and if you looking for a Japanese protagonist dumb cliche kinda novel , you in the right place MC has a system that could potentially make is life better,(mind you there's no useless cheat but people) admitting want to change, he doesn't go to the gym, no self improvement, he nearly dead just carrying a grocery ,just pathetic . honestly that not how a person who like games, read webnovel, manga and watch anime behaves, he should trying to exploit the system fingering out everything , how it works, how to get skills etc but 😮💨 my guy is a disappointment
I'd give a full 5 but I honestly thought it was dumb that the teachers are just oblivious to physical violence. But I'll come back later and read more I Guess. It's a bit cringe but who said cringe is good at times.
