Ryan's graduation celebration was an intimate affair, with only close relatives and friends in attendance. The small gathering was taken aback when I showed up, their surprise evident on their faces.
I greeted everyone with a smile, acting as if nothing was amiss. However, the curious glances exchanged between guests were hard to miss.
Stepping out onto the terrace for some fresh air, I overheard a conversation in the hallway. Some friends had cornered Ryan, fishing for information.
"I thought you said Mia was upset about the school beauty incident. Has she forgiven you already?"
Ryan chuckled softly. "She's just being immature. She'll come around soon enough. We've been friends for years; she can't stay mad forever."
The other person sighed, "You know, Mia's actually quite special. You two have such history together. We all admire how devoted she is to you."
