Second Date

The sun was beginning to set in the West when Ji-hoon strode out of the glass, high-rise building that was G & L. Si-woo was right beside him, in perfect tandem with the tempo of his walking pace.

He pushed his glasses higher up the bridge of his nose. "Now that your schedule's over for the day, you have a date in the next twenty minutes at a French restaurant. I've forwarded you the details of the place and the person you're meeting with."

Ji-hoon sighed wearily, fishing his phone out of his pocket. "Dare I hope this date will turn out better than the last?"

They reached the car, and Si-woo held open the door to the driver's seat. He watched as Ji-hoon heaved into it, and handed him the car keys.

"Just be a little more optimistic, and maybe, this date would turn out better this time."

Ji-hoon gave him a withering stare. "What I would have given to have you go in my stead…"
