"Xiao San!"

Tang Hao's eyes burned with killing intent as he watched Tang San fall into a dangerous predicament. Nine spirit rings appeared beneath his feet, all turning golden as he roared, "Chrysanthemum, Ghost—you're courting death!"

"Ring Explosion!"

Two yellow spirit rings beneath Tang Hao's feet shattered, releasing a terrifying aura. His previously restrained body trembled slightly.

With the destruction of three or four rings, his entire body became shrouded in a golden radiance, and even the Clear Sky Hammer in his hand turned gold. The Dual Static Domains began to violently destabilize.

"Not good! The old ghost is detonating his rings—retreat, now!"

When Tang Hao's fifth spirit ring exploded, the resulting force, combined with his Killing God Domain, shattered Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo's Dual Static Domains. The Clear Sky Hammer came crashing down toward them, forcing both to dodge separately. Only a moment later, a massive mushroom cloud erupted from where they had just stood.

The deafening explosion drew the attention of the distant Shrek Academy and Divine Wind Academy, who had been locked in battle. Their fight came to an abrupt halt.

Hovering midair, Feng Xiaotian had no time to react before a dark hand suddenly burst from the ground and seized him, dragging him underground. The next second, Tang Hao—his entire body glowing gold—shot through the air like a cannonball.

With a single impact, the ground within a ten-meter radius exploded. Then, he shot forward again, grabbed Tang San by the collar, and vanished into the distance within the blink of an eye.

"So this… is Ring Explosion? Terrifying!"

Amid the mushroom cloud's lingering smoke, Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo stared at the devastated ground left by the Clear Sky Hammer, their throats tightening involuntarily. If they hadn't dodged in time, they would have been obliterated, leaving no trace behind.

"Many thanks to both seniors for saving me. I, Feng Xiaotian, am willing to join the Spirit Hall."

Feng Xiaotian's voice snapped Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo out of their shock.

Chrysanthemum Douluo smiled, patting Feng Xiaotian's shoulder. "I am merely following orders. Feng Xiaotian, you have great potential. His Holiness the Pope holds you in high regard—keep up the good work."

 Shrek Academy's Devastation

On Shrek Academy's side, the situation was beyond dire.

Ma Hongjun was covered in bruises, his body mottled in blue and purple. Worse still, his legs had been charred beyond recognition, burned to the point that they no longer resembled limbs.

Dai Mubai's right shoulder was crushed, leaving him slumped against a wall, unconscious.

Meanwhile, Zhu Zhuqing, having endured Yu Tianxin's merciless Lightning Tyrant Strike, lay battered and burned. Her long black hair had turned into a frizzled mess, and her once fair skin was now charcoal black. She lay unconscious in a small crater.

Everyone except Jiangzhu had suffered injuries of varying degrees.

Oscar, holding a pile of sausages, desperately wanted to heal Ma Hongjun, Dai Mubai, and Zhu Zhuqing, but all three were unconscious, unable to even chew.

Flender and Liu Erlong, utterly helpless, could do nothing but rage in frustration.

At that moment, a colossal Seven Treasures Glazed Pagoda lit up above Shrek Academy, radiating brilliant seven-colored light that cascaded down, enveloping all the injured students, accelerating their recovery.

The one who had acted was, of course, Ning Fengzhi.

The battle had ended. Ning Fengzhi didn't want to interfere too much, but playing the good guy was still an option.

"Dean Flender," Ning Fengzhi said after retracting the Seven Treasures Glazed Pagoda, taking a deep breath to steady himself. "My healing abilities can only treat superficial injuries. As for Mubai and Hongjun… I'm afraid there's nothing I can do."

After a brief silence, Flender shook his head. "It's fine, Sect Master Ning. Xiao San should be able to help Mubai and Hongjun. Though Haotian Douluo took him away, I know Xiao San—he will return for the Soul Master Tournament."

Yu Xiaogang nodded lightly, and both Flender and Liu Erlong followed suit. The three of them had noticeably cooled toward Ning Fengzhi—he hadn't joined the battle, yet now he showed up to play savior. Worse still, he hadn't dared to stand against Spirit Hall, allowing Shrek's students to be surrounded and assaulted by Blazing Fire Academy and Divine Wind Academy.

And to think they had gone out of their way to nurture Ning Rongrong as a student.

Naturally, Ning Fengzhi noticed the subtle shift in attitude. A wave of frustration welled up within him.

This mess was Tang Hao's doing. Helping was a favor, not an obligation.

And yet, even after stepping in, he still ended up taking the blame.

 Shrek Academy's Isolation

With Xue Luochuan restoring order, all participating academies boarded their carriages once more, continuing their journey toward Spirit City.

However, Shrek Academy, already ostracized by many schools, was now completely isolated after Tang Hao's assassination attempt on Feng Xiaotian.

Shrek Academy, Dormitory Building.

Xiao Wu sat alone by the window, cradling the Lovesick Heartbroken Red flower that Tang Hao had given her. Her pink eyes reflected the bright full moon outside.

A soft, sorrowful voice escaped her lips. "Brother… have you arrived at Spirit Hall? I miss you so much… I really wish I could go to Spirit City with you and compete in the Soul Master Tournament finals. But the monster who killed my mother and Da Ming, Er Ming… is there. I can't go."

At that moment, a cold, sinister voice whispered into her ear.

"Do you want to see your third brother? Don't worry, Uncle will send you to Spirit City right away—our ten-thousand-year Soft Bone Rabbit, Xiao Wu."

"Who are you?!"

Xiao Wu's heart jolted in fear. The voice didn't belong to Tang Hao. Startled, she dropped the Lovesick Heartbroken Red flower onto the floor and whirled around—only to see two unknown men standing inside her room.

She had no idea when they had entered.

Both were clad in golden armor. The man on the left was tall and slender, resembling a bamboo pole, while the one on the right had short, fiery-red hair, an average height, and a body covered in bulging muscles. His face was hideously ugly.

"You're from Spirit Hall! How did you learn my true identity?!"

A flash of despair flickered in Xiao Wu's furious eyes. She had been carrying the Lovesick Heartbroken Red flower Tang Hao gave her—it was supposed to hide her aura!

How had they still found her?

Even during the Soul Master Tournament, not even Sword Douluo, a Super Douluo, had discovered her identity!

Snake Spear Douluo chuckled mockingly. "Little girl, have you forgotten who your mother died protecting you from?"

Xiao Wu's eyes instantly turned bloodshot, brimming with seething hatred. She let out a piercing scream.

"It was you! You murdered Da Ming, Er Ming, and my mother! I'll avenge them!"

Snake Spear Douluo moved like lightning, grabbing her by the throat. He sneered.

"Bloodthorn, tell me—how did such a stupid rabbit manage to survive for a hundred thousand years? She knew a Titled Douluo had seen her before, yet she still dared to prance around the Soul Master Tournament. And now, with nothing but a mere Soul Elder's strength, she actually thinks she can fight us?"

Bloodthorn Douluo scoffed and shook his head. "No idea. That dumb orangutan His Holiness killed was just as stupid. Maybe fools just stick together."

Then, he noticed the flower on the floor and smirked. "Though, I'll give her this—she had enough sense not to step into Spirit City and throw her life away. Maybe someone warned her. After all, she didn't have that flower last time."

"That makes sense."

Snake Spear Douluo nodded. "Let's go. We'll take this hundred-thousand-year Soft Bone Rabbit back to Spirit Hall."

Moments later, the two arrived at the Spirit Temple in Heaven Dou City.

Xiao Wu was bound tightly with chains, her hands and feet shackled, before being thrown into an iron cage and secretly transported to Spirit City.
