Suddenly a voice spoke out.
"Silence"!
Everyone stopped talking almost at the same time and looked towards the front, where a girl dressed in a navy-blue one piece uniform, with gold linings and accents, stood under a white long coat with gold buttons and epaulettes stood at the front.
Well to be more accurate, she was levitating in front of the crowd.
She had shoulder length red hair, which flowed freely and deep blue eyes that seemed to stare deep into one's being.
Her skin was slick like silk and she possessed a slim attractive figure that despite being honed for battle was still irresistible enough to turn heads her way.
She possessed a slight resemblance to me, which some people seemed to notice as they were staring at me.
As for the reason she bore a resemblance to me was simple. She was my elder sister.
Stella Hunt. The first born child of Joseph and Evangeline Hunt.
Seeing her triggered some of my memories. I gritted my teeth. I hated her. I hate her.
Thinking about how she and her brother bullied me before in the past made my blood boil.
-"A blue and white uniform with gold linings".
-"That means she's a third year right?"
-"Is she also a part of the cadet council?"
-"Morons. How can you not recognise her. That's the first born of the Hunt family, Stella Hunt."
As soon as Stella levitated into the air, murmuring occurred amongst the crowd once more.
Even those who hadn't heard of Stella knew the Hunt family and even the small percentage that just happened not to know the Hunt family, deduced she was a high ranking individual from the color of her uniform.
The dress code for regular first and second year cadets was black and white.
While third years spotted blue and white. Only those part of the cadet council wore blue with golden linings.
Also she wore a golden armband on her arm. So yeah it's kinda obvious she's in the cadet council.
Then she raised her hand dramatically and as if on cue, the place quieted down instantly.
The power of a high ranker. A third year. A member of the cadet council.
"Calm down everyone". She spoke in a calm tone, her angelic voice resounding through the field.
Although she didn't hold a speaker in her hand, she was most likely using a mini microphone.
"I'm Stella Hunt, the current vice president of the cadet council".
-"V-Vice president! For real!"
-"Whoa."
-"That's insane."
As expected, everyone lost their shit when they heard her position.
In the academy, only the top 8 ranking cadets are allowed into the cadet council. And the position of vice president was assigned to the second strongest cadet.
Basically, she was the second strongest cadet in the whole academy. It's no wonder they were shocked.
After all a big shot was coming to personally give their welcome.
After giving them, us, a moment to express our awe, she continued her speech.
"Now I know many of you are excited to be here, but I also know that a large majority of you couldn't care less and just want to be done with this right."
"Then let me tell you this. You, all of you, are the hope of this world. Soon, after you graduate from here, you will be on the frontlines, fighting for our cause—protecting these lands, our lands from these filthy other worlders."
"I won't lie. It won't be easy. We're currently at a stalemate with Fantasia. We've been at a stalemate with Fantasia for a long time but recently, just recently we've started overpowering, at least slightly, the fantasian alliance."
She then took a pause, gazing round at us. She then continued. "Even then war is an unpredictable situation. It could turn table at any moment."
Then she straightened up and took a serious expression.
"War is unpredictable, yes. The tides may shift, the ground may crumble beneath our feet, but mark my words—*mark my words*—when the Terran army stands together, when they rise as one, they are unstoppable! They are the dawn breaking through the darkest night, the spark that ignites the flame of hope! And when the Fantasians come, when they think they have us cornered, they will learn the hard way that Terrans do not falter. Terrans do not yield. Terrans *fight*!"
The room erupted in cheers, the energy electric, as she raised her hands, her voice reaching a crescendo.
"So I say to you now, to every soldier, every citizen, every soul who believes in the power of humanity—*this is our moment*!
"This is the hour we prove to the stars themselves that no matter the odds, no matter the enemy, we will *never* back down."
"For Terra! For victory! For the future we will carve with our own hands! *Let them come*—and let them see what it means to face the indomitable spirit of the Terran army!"
The crowd roared, their voices shaking the very walls, as she stood tall, a beacon of defiance and hope.
I simply glared at her whilst everyone was clapping their hands. The ability to instantly raise the morale of soldiers in an instant.
This was the ability of a future general. Stella Hunt. One of the major antagonist of the novel.
And my one and only sister.
