As Avasyu settled into his room, placing his luggage near the cupboard, his guard approached him.
"Is the room okay for you?" he asked.
Avasyu glanced around one more time before nodding. "It's great. Thank you."
His guard handed him a small piece of paper. "This is the chief's contact number. If you ever need anything, you can call him through this lady." He nodded toward the personal assistant of the headmaster, who stood nearby.
Avasyu took the paper and held it carefully.
His guard exhaled, adjusting his uniform. "I'm heading back to COH now. Take care of yourself."
A flicker of sadness passed through Avasyu's eyes. "You too," he replied softly.
With that, his guard and the assistant left, closing the door behind them.
Now alone, Avasyu sat on his bed. His heart pounded.
This is real.
For the first time in his life, he was in an academy,a place filled with people like him. People with powers. People he had never met before.
Though his mother had taught him the basics of education, he had never stepped inside a classroom. Never experienced school life.
A wave of nervous excitement washed over him.Not knowing what else to do, he lay down on his bed.
And soon, exhaustion took over.He slept.
Avasyu slept soundly until a harsh knocking jolted him awake. Groggy, he stumbled to the door and opened it to find four older individuals standing there, laughing among themselves. Their laughter ceased abruptly as they saw him, and without waiting for an invitation, they pushed their way inside.
They settled on the bed, positioning Avasyu between them. One of them, seated to his left, draped an arm over his shoulder and asked, "Where are you from?"
"COH," Avasyu replied.
"Oh? Then why aren't you in C class?" another inquired.
"I don't know," Avasyu said, a hint of confusion in his voice. "I just got here."
"I don't know anything about this place," Avasyu admitted.
The group continued laughing at him before finally getting up. As they walked out of the room, one of them called back, "Make sure to get up early in the morning. We have a drill to follow."
Avasyu nodded. "Yes."
Once they were gone, he sat in his room, wondering what to do next. He needed to tidy up, unpack his luggage, and make his bed.
Without wasting time, he got to work. He took out his clothes and neatly placed them in the cupboard. Then, he straightened the bed and spread a fresh bedsheet over it.
After fifteen minutes of cleaning, the room was finally ready.
Just then, his stomach growled with hunger. He had no food with him, but the craving to eat grew stronger. The problem was,he didn't know what to eat or where to find it.
After a moment of hesitation, he stepped out of his room and made his way downstairs. He descended two floors until he reached the ground level, where he had earlier spotted the cafeteria.
As Avasyu approached the cafeteria, he spotted the same group of students. They noticed him as well and walked toward him.
"What are you doing here?" one of them asked.
"I'm hungry," Avasyu replied. "I came to get something to eat."
One of the four, a student with yellow hair and golden eyes standing to Avasyu's left, smirked. "Yeah? But you need money for that. Do you have any?"
"Can you even afford the prices here?" another chimed in.
Avasyu hesitated. "How much does the food cost?"
"For us? It's free," the yellow-haired student said. "For you? It's expensive,200 rupees per plate."
Avasyu's brows furrowed. "That's too much. I don't have any money."
The student on Avasyu's right, who had black hair and golden eyes, spoke up. "Well, we could let you have one of our meals for free… but you have to do something for us."
Avasyu's eyes lit up. "Really? You'll give me a plate of food?"
The black-haired student nodded. "Yeah, we will."
"What do I have to do?" Avasyu asked cautiously.
The student pulled a folded piece of paper from his shirt pocket and handed it to Avasyu. "Don't open it."
"I'll tell you who to give it to. Follow me."
Avasyu followed them toward the main building's cafeteria. Located on the ground floor, it was a large, bustling space filled with students eating and chatting.
Among them, a girl sat alone, eating pizza. Her dark red hair cascaded over her shoulders, and her golden-yellow eyes gleamed under the cafeteria lights. There was no doubt, she was the most beautiful girl in the room.
The black-haired student turned to Avasyu and said, "Go give her the paper. And whatever happens, don't look at me. If she says anything, don't respond, just walk away. Talk to me only when you're back at the hostel."
Avasyu hesitated. "What's inside the paper? What if she complains to the headmaster?"
The yellow-haired guy smirked. "She won't. Don't worry. Just do it, and you'll get your free food."
Still unsure, Avasyu nodded. He took the folded paper in his palm and began walking toward the girl.
Just as he was about to reach her, a boy with reddish-orange eyes and brown hair stepped in front of him, blocking his path.
"Hey! Where are you going?" the boy asked.
"I'm going to that girl," Avasyu replied.
From a distance, the group of four watched the interaction. Their expressions changed the moment they saw the orange-eyed boy. The black-haired guy let out a sigh of frustration. "Why does it have to be him?" he muttered under his breath.
The boy in front of Avasyu glanced at the folded paper in his hand. "Did those four send you to give her this?"
"Yes," Avasyu answered honestly.
The boy scowled. "Those bastards… causing trouble again." He shook his head. "I'll deal with them later."
He then led Avasyu to another table and gestured for him to sit. "Why did you listen to them?" he asked.
Avasyu hesitated before replying, "I was hungry. They said they'd give me free food if I did their work."
The boy groaned. "Ugh, those bastards!" Then he leaned in slightly and said, "Every meal here is free, you know. You can eat as much as you want from any cafeteria."
Avasyu's eyes widened in surprise.
The boy smirked. "From now on, if you need anything, talk to me. My name is Ash.
"If you ask anyone about me, they'll know where to find me."
"Or you can come to Hostel-S, third floor, room 141."
Avasyu nodded.
Ash stretched and yawned. "Anyway, I'm sleepy. See you later." And with that, he walked off.
