Chapter 12

The pitiful, naive father of mine stubbornly followed Casper.

Under my arrangement, my mother successfully divorced and was taken back home by my grandfather, far away from the chaos. This also removed one of my worries.

Mr. Stratton wasn't even buried yet, and the Stratton family had already fallen into disarray.

At this crucial moment, Felicity came to find me.

At this time, only the attitude of the Everhart family remained ambiguous and unclear.

"Don't worry, I've already explained the situation to my dad. Supporting Casper won't do our Everhart family any good. Casper has long been manipulated by Mrs. Stratton, and he'll burn bridges as soon as he's done using us."

Though I didn't have deep feelings for Felicity, going through this ordeal together had forged a connection between us. "You need to think this through carefully."

She raised her almond-shaped eyes slightly, "Your family's golden boy has already made connections with my dad. There's nothing left for me to do."
