Invitation From Queen's Palace

When Yuan and Xylin heard the booming sound, they immediately came downstairs and saw Xiao there with red eyes. Angrily, she shouted at Xylin, "What are you doing with Yuan?"

Xylin was taken aback and stammered, "I—" At that moment, Yuan seized the opportunity to speak to Xiao. "Aunt, you know that I love you all equally. So why are you angry now?" He moved closer and hugged her tightly, instantly transforming her demeanour from a lioness into that of a sheep.

While this was happening, someone interjected, "Okay, I'm also part of this family. Why am I not getting a sweet hug yet?"

Everyone turned to see Xuner standing there; she might have just returned from her duties. The reactions in the room varied: Xylin felt shy, Xiao remained unresponsive, and Yuan didn't show any discomfort—he already recognized the voice.

Xiao said to her, "Big Sis, Yuan is giving too much love to Xylin and not paying me enough attention. Today, he went with her and visited the whole town." She couldn't bring herself to tell her sister that both of them had engaged in something inappropriate.

Xuner paid little mind to Xiao's words and went directly to Yuan. She hugged him and said, "Baby, why don't we visit the town again together?" All she wanted was to spend quality time with Yuan; it was a simple wish.

Yuan replied, "Yes, Mom, we can visit the town again. I'm fine now, and I can do whatever you say." He simply couldn't bear to say no to his mother, who was also his first love in this world.

A few hours later, everyone was seated at the dining table. Xylin served Yuan's food first and announced, "Yuan made these dishes, and they are all incredibly tasty."

Xylin was renowned as the best chef in the whole capital, and her culinary skills were famous throughout the region. Even the queen and ministers occasionally visited her restaurant, where many prominent guests were invited.

Xuner was delighted to hear that the dish was made by Yuan. Without hesitation, she took a bite, and as it touched her tongue, her mind became blank; she felt as if she were in heaven.

Yuan was from Earth, a place rich in spices, sauces, and various culinary delights. In contrast, this world lacked such diversity. Even those who reached higher ranks in power could often forgo food altogether, sometimes eating only once every six months just for the sake of flavour.

Yuan, however, needed to eat 3-4 times a day for proper nutrition and to satisfy his hunger. Even if he reached a higher rank here, he couldn't afford to skip meals under any circumstances.

Remembering something, Xuner turned to Yuan and said, "Baby, I have something to tell you. Would you prefer to hear it now, or later?"

Yuan asked, "What's wrong, Mom? Is there a problem? You don't need to ask for permission to speak; you're my mom, and you can just give me an order, and I'll do anything for you."

Xuner felt joy in her heart. Though she was his mother who could give orders, she wanted to show him respect. Yuan was now a different person with memories of his past life.

Xuner continued, "Today when I visited the queen's palace, she mentioned that she wanted to meet you. I think she has some important work for you and wants to assign you a special task. She didn't tell anyone else about it, but she would like to meet you in a few days. Please try to see her tomorrow if you can."

Yuan absorbed this information, thinking, "The queen wants to meet me. Could she possibly have a romantic interest? But this can't be a serious conversation; she must want something else. What could it be?" He pondered various possibilities but eventually shook his head, putting it aside for later.

Yuan assured her, "I'll go to the palace tomorrow, and I'll let you know what she wants from me." He intended to share everything with her, as she was his everything, and family came first.

After finishing dinner, everyone went to sleep. Tonight, Yuan slept alone without any disturbances.

As he lay in bed, Yuan contemplated his plans and what he wanted to do concerning his future. He realized he needed to focus on increasing his power; he was currently at a very basic level—essentially at the bottom of the power ranking. Even a high-ranking spirit beast in the nearby forest could easily crush him.

Meanwhile, in another room, Xylin was engrossed in studying a dual cultivation technique, her cheeks flushed like cherries on ice cream. She encountered many risqué poses in that cultivation manual. Although Xylin was a cultivator, she was not a dual cultivator; she maintained her cultivation levels a secret from everyone.

Yuan remained unaware of the many mysteries surrounding his family. No one knew why Xuner held a duke's title in this kingdom or why Xiao held a high military position. Many people challenged them, but no one knew their true power, and even Yuan's system couldn't assess their cultivation ranks.

As the night wore on, Yuan turned over in his sleep, unaware of the mysteries and challenges that awaited him.

Everything aside, the night went down, and the yuan ate his breakfast and went directly to the queen's palace with Xuner. No one stopped him because he was with Xuner, and everyone knew that the queen was closest to Xuner.

Queen Palace literally looks like an ancient place that Yuan had seen pictures of in his history books on Earth, and in reality, it looks like heaven too; heck, this palace literally looks like a palace from the ancient era on Earth.
