CHAPTER 20 SPARRING

The two were shocked by this, only Aranold and the elf teacher were not surprised, the latter raised her eyebrow.

'Oh? This is interesting.' She thought after seeing the calm expression of Aranold.

She smiled and asked. "You are not surprised, even the person himself is a little bit surprised by my evaluation, you are the only one that thinks my prediction will come true."

Aranold is startled, but he still answers her with a formal tone. "I have sparred with multiple top rankers, I have never even come close to matching them, all of my spars end up making me a punching bag."

He turns to his friend and says. "The sensation that Cleo gives to me is almost similar to that of the weakest top ranker, the only thing that might be holding him back is his lack of genetic enhancement."

"For the experience, I cannot deny that it is also crucial, but after watching his fight against you, I discovered how he easily adapts to your fighting style and changes his own to counter yours."

The elf teacher nods. "It seems that I underestimated you."

She sighs. "Your earlier attitude has truly disappointed me, I have given up on you. This is why my knowledge regarding your traits is considered lacking compared to your teammates."

Aranold shakes his head. "I do not blame you, teacher, if I were given a student that had the same attitude as my former self, I would also not hesitate to give up on me."

"It seems that you have grown up, you have learned the error in your ways, and you are determined to finally rise up to your full potential. You are admirable, and I will be looking forward to your continuous improvement."

Leon finally realises that the teacher is capable of hearing even his quietest voice, so he decides to only write what he wants to say.

"Wow! Such big words! You just recently stopped your debauchery, and now you are speaking like a trained warrior who spends his entire life diligently training."

His friend's eyebrow twitches.

He then passes a note to him, reads it, and looks at his friend with a speechless expression.

"I think that it is better that I should be your matching partner rather than that triclop, I promise that I will hold back."

He glares at him and writes another letter.

"Wait for me to grow stronger, I will be the one treating you nicely in a sparring match."

He raises his head proudly, only to hear his teacher's voice say.

"What is that you two are writing about? It seems to be more important than my lessons."

"Aranold started it."

Without hesitation, he blames his friend, causing the latter to look at him with a stunned expression.

"It was you that started it!" He indignantly says.

"Oh, really? Then, if that is true, what is written in my letter?"

His friend becomes speechless, he cannot say the things written on that piece of paper because if he does, his teacher will question his sincerity.

"Cannot say it? It seems that your lie is not foolproof!"

He raises his head proudly, confident about his victory over the blame game.

The next couple of minutes, both he and Aranold were treated as an example for all their teacher's demonstration, their bodies were beaten up beyond recognition, it seems that she is having fun destroying.

"Okay, that is enough for the day. I will check up on the four of you next month. Blake, I want you to focus on your technique, if you are feeling frustrated, you can challenge Cleo in a spar.

"Sophia, you are lagging behind, think deeply about my suggestion.

"Aranold, I hope that you do not return to your old way.

"Cleo, I do not have any accurate advice for you, so I just suggest continuing your rapid progress or you can relax for now and have your mental combat capability catch up with your current strength."

The two are unable to answer her because their mouth, or, more accurately, their entire face, is filled with bruises, groaning will only cause them more pain, the only thing they can do is lie there like corpses.

As the elf teacher walks away, she looks at her hand, and her eyes flash with a bright light.

She chuckles and mumbles to herself. "To think that their body is capable of improving on its own by just getting beaten up."

She takes out a book and continues her mumbling. "It seems that the legend regarding the Blitzgher Race is true, they are truly descendants of the ancient dragon race, a fire-type dragon at that, their appearance resembles more that of the sub-dragon race of the water dragon clan."

She ponders and smiles.

"So they need something to suppress the raging flame that is brought by the bloodline, no wonder their race is ruled by the female counterpart, even though they consider themselves descendants of the dragon race, which is mostly governed by males."

"That yin stone in his neck is a dead giveaway, but where did he obtain it?"

Leon and Aranold wake up the next day, even with their abnormal regenerative ability, they need nearly an entire day to recover.

"Are you okay, bro?" He asks, seeing his friend still lying on the floor.

"Curse you! You are at fault with our predicament!" His friend shouts, still not trying to stand up.

Seeing this, he can only smile in an embarrassed manner.

"I think that we should rest today and continue taking missions tomorrow, we need to recover after that experience."

He suggested, which was quickly answered by an agreement from his friend.

After freshening up, Leon stretches his body and quickly realises that he seems to have gained more control over it.

Shaking this thought, he turns to his friend, who still has a beaten-up face.

He wants to laugh but holds himself back, which at least makes him angry again.

"So, are you finally able to walk?"

His stomach has been complaining since he opened his eyes.

He wants to go to the canteen and have a feast.

Their appearance has become more frequent in the canteen, they are noticed not because of their appearance but because of their massive appetite.

They might not have the largest appetite in the entire academy, but Leon is one of the only humans that eats that much.

Most humans use some sort of cultivation technique in order to grow stronger.

They absorb a unique energy from the Realm of the Thousand World to fuel their strength and quench their hunger, they call it being pure.

Those who are strong do not need to eat even for an entire year, if they did, it would only increase their genetic enhancement.

Meanwhile, Leon and Aranold do not care or even notice the stares directed at the four of them.

Carefree and her friend Marionette join, and the way they eat can be considered barbaric and even beastly.

"Little girl, did your mother not tell you to eat your greens?" Leon suddenly says, seeing that Marionette is only eating meat just like the other two.

She stops and looks downward.

"I know that I do not look like a proper lady eating this way."

He cuts her before she can say anything more. "Hey, I did not say anything like that! I am only worried that you only eat meat and no greens."

"You are worried about her? Is your mind okay?" Asks his friend.

He then gasps and says. "Do not tell me that you have fallen in love with her!?"

He slaps his friend's head.

"What the hell are you thinking about!? Do I look like some kind of child lover in your eyes!?"

"Well, she is technically not a child, and considering those big assets, I do not think that anyone will mistake her for a child, you are the only person who calls her that." He confidently says.

"Hmph! If not for the fact that you have changed, I would have punched you for calling me a child numerous times!"

Seeing that he is truly not insulting her eating habits, she regains her usual mood, raises her tiny arms, and puts on a pouting expression.

"You should thank your friend, the only reason we added you to our group is because of her, besides, your punches no longer scare me."

He smirks as he clenches his fist, and his aura quickly erupts.

The two girls were shocked by his sudden power.

Aranold laughs slightly.

"Our teacher has just evaluated our strength, she says that as long as this idiot continues to improve, it will not be long when he reaches the same level as those top rankers!"

"Those are some big words from a talking lizard!" Suddenly an obnoxious voice appears.

The four turn their heads towards the source of the voice, and they see four beings looking at Aranold and Leon with disdain.

"Bxstards from XZ14!" Roars Aranold as he tries to stand up and confront them, but Leon stops him.

He calmly takes a piece of cow leg and stares at the group with a bored expression.

"Oh? Scared?" Mocks a being with four arms.

"Who is this clown? Are you entertaining us by showing your freaky appearance?"

He takes a coin from his pocket, it was one of the secular objects that he brought.

He considers it his lucky coin, but right now he is going to use it for another purpose.

He throws the coin near the feet of the four.

"Why don't you keep entertaining us? Who would refuse a dinner and a show?"

Hearing this, Aranold was stunned.

He then laughed out loud.

The expressions of the four became ugly, and the two girls at their table giggled.

"You weakling!" Roars the four arms, he charges at him, his eyes light up.

He knows that attacking in this location is considered a heavy offence, and the academy's law officers are definitely going to punish this guy heavily.

"Marlo, wait!" Shouts the leader.

His hair then moves and binds the four armed individuals.

His fist is extremely close to Leon's face, but the latter only smiles at it.

He stands up and pats the head of the four-armed guy.

"That was a great show! Why don't you continue performing? I might not have an extra coin for you, but I can pay in points."

The eyes of the four-armed individual bulge, he roars and stretches his hand towards Leon, but unfortunately for him, his teammate locks him in his position, he is unable to move.

"What are you guys doing!? Help me restrain him! This bxstard is using this to harm our group! The Law Department!" He screams out loud the last words.

The other two quickly helped him restrain their four armed teammates, knowing that staying here would only bring them disadvantage, they hurriedly left.

Before leaving, the long-haired guy says. "It seems that your mouth has become more eloquent, but this does not change your fate, we will beat you guys in front of the entire academy next month!"

Aranold only raises his hand and shows his middle finger, he learned this gesture from his good buddy, he likes using them already.

"That was great!" Shouts Marionette.

Leon only shakes his head, he grabs the coin that he had thrown and continues eating.

'Next month, huh? I wonder how strong I will be after an entire month of training.' He muses.

The next few days, both Aranold and Leon's schedules become monotonous, complete missions, go to the canteen, spar with the triclops, eat, sleep, and repeat.

This might be considered monotonous, but it was not for Aranold and Leon.

The former fights a different opponent every other day or so, and the latter spends most of his time trying to learn more things about his current world while at the same time recording the beings that he has massaged.

Two weeks pass by.

Inside the XZ15 room, Leon, the triclops, and Aranold are fighting a three-way battle, actually, the latter two seem to be working slightly to counter the former.

BAM! Leon punches the triclops, his punch is tricky, making the latter fail to block it, it hits accurately in the chest.
