The Morning After

As Sunday morning dawned, Jaxon woke up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

He stretched his arms and yawned, still grinning from the excitement of the previous night's performance.

His mom knocked on the door, poking her head in. "Good morning, sweetie! How are you feeling today?"

Jaxon sat up, rubbing his eyes. "I'm good, Mom. Just a little tired."

His mom smiled. "That's understandable. You had a big night last night. Why don't you take it easy today and just relax?"

Jaxon nodded, feeling grateful for his mom's understanding. He spent the morning lounging around the house, watching TV, and browsing his phone.

As the day wore on, Jaxon's mind began to wander back to the performance. He thought about the rush of adrenaline he'd felt on stage, the roar of the crowd, and the sense of accomplishment that had washed over him when it was all over.

He couldn't wait to see what the future held. Would he get more gigs? Would he be able to make a career out of music?

As Jaxon was lounging on the couch, he heard the doorbell ring. His mom got up to answer it, and a moment later, she called out to him.

"Jaxon, it's Max!" she said.

Jaxon's eyes widened in surprise. Max was his producer, the one who had helped him prepare for the performance on Saturday night.

Jaxon quickly got up from the couch and made his way to the living room. Max was standing by the door, a warm smile on his face.

"Hey, Jaxon! I hope I'm not interrupting anything," Max said, extending his hand.

Jaxon shook it, feeling a little surprised by the visit. "No, not at all. What brings you here?" he asked.

Max walked into the living room, taking a seat on the couch. "I just wanted to check in on you and see how you're doing after the show," he said.

Jaxon sat down next to him, feeling a little grateful for the visit. "I'm doing great, thanks. Still on a high from the performance," he said.

Max smiled, nodding his head. "You should be. You did an amazing job out there. I've been getting calls all morning from people who want to book you for their events," he said.

Jaxon's eyes widened in surprise. "Really?" he asked.

Max nodded. "Yes. You're a talented young man, Jaxon. And I think we can do great things together," he said.

Jaxon felt a surge of excitement at the prospect. He had always dreamed of making it big in the music industry, and now it seemed like that dream was within reach.

Just as Jaxon and Max were discussing the possibilities, the doorbell rang again. Jaxon's mom got up to answer it, and a moment later, she called out to him.

"Jaxon, Rachel is here!" she said.

Jaxon's face lit up with a smile. Rachel was the photographer who had taken pictures of him during the performance.

He got up from the couch and walked over to the door, where Rachel was standing with a big smile on her face.

"Hey, Jaxon! I brought over some of the photos I shot during the performance," she said, holding up her camera.

Jaxon's eyes widened with excitement as he took the camera from her. He started scrolling through the photos, and his jaw dropped in amazement.

"Wow, Rachel, these are incredible!" he exclaimed.

Rachel beamed with pride. "Thanks, Jaxon! I'm really happy with how they turned out."

Max walked over to join them, looking at the photos over Jaxon's shoulder. "Wow, these are great," he said. "We should use some of these for promotional materials."

Jaxon nodded enthusiastically. "Definitely. Rachel, can I get copies of these?"

Rachel smiled. "Of course, Jaxon. I'll send them to you later today."

As Rachel left, Jaxon turned to Max with a big smile on his face. "This is all so surreal," he said.

Max smiled back. "You're doing great, Jaxon. Just enjoy the ride."

Jaxon headed to the kitchen to grab some drinks for Max and himself. He poured two glasses of juice and brought them back to the living room.

"Thanks, Jaxon," Max said, taking a sip of his juice.

Jaxon sat back down next to Max, feeling a sense of comfort and familiarity. It was nice to have someone to share his thoughts and feelings with.

"So, Max, what's the plan for the next few weeks?" Jaxon asked, taking a sip of his juice.

Max leaned back in his chair, a thoughtful expression on his face. "Well, we need to start working on your next performance. I was thinking we could book a gig at the local music festival."

Jaxon's eyes widened in excitement. "That sounds amazing! I've always wanted to perform at the music festival."

Max smiled. "I thought you'd like that idea. We'll need to start rehearsing soon, though. The festival is only a few weeks away."

Jaxon nodded, feeling a sense of determination. He was ready to put in the work and make his next performance even better than the last one.

As Max stood up to leave, Jaxon walked him to the door. "Thanks for coming over, Max," Jaxon said, shaking his hand.

"No problem, Jaxon," Max replied. "I'll talk to you soon about the music festival gig."

Jaxon nodded and watched as Max walked out the door. He then turned to head back inside, where he found Alex walking into the living room.

"Hey, man!" Alex exclaimed, grinning at Jaxon. "I heard Max was here. What's up?"

Jaxon shrugged, flopping down onto the couch. "Just talking about the next gig," he said.

Alex's eyes widened with excitement. "The music festival? That's awesome, dude!"

Jaxon smiled, feeling happy to share the news with his friend. "Yeah, Max thinks it's a great opportunity," he said.

Alex nodded enthusiastically. "That's so cool. I'm going to come watch you perform."

Jaxon grinned, feeling grateful for his supportive friend. "Thanks, Alex. That means a lot to me."

Alex walked into the living room, a curious expression on his face. "Hey, Jaxon, I heard something interesting today," he said.

Jaxon looked up from his phone, intrigued. "What is it?" he asked.

Alex sat down next to him on the couch. "I heard that a new student is coming to our class on Monday," he said.

Jaxon raised an eyebrow. "Really? Who is it?"

Alex shrugged. "I don't know his name, but I heard he's good at music too."

Jaxon' interest was piqued. "That's cool. I wonder what kind of music he's into."

Alex grinned. "Maybe he'll be a rival for you, Jaxon."

Jaxon laughed. "I don't know about that. But it'll be cool to meet him and see what he's all about."
