At that moment Valentina took a deep breath, trying to push away the frustration she felt about her clothes. She had never cared much for fashion, but now, standing in front of her wardrobe filled with the long, concealing garments she once needed, she knew she couldn't wear them anymore.

She needed new clothes—ones that reflected the woman she was now, not the one she used to be.

Her first thought was to use the money she had been secretly saving, the same money she had once intended to give Raymond and he rejected.

But she had already budgeted that money for something else, something important.

That left her with only one option.

With another deep breath, she stepped out of her room and made her way toward Raymond's office.
