"But this time, Aria wasn't here. She couldn't help me now. No one would help me—but only now did I realize it.
Then something incredible happened.
Kyro couldn't explain it, but a feeling of pure rage and despair overcame him. It was as if something inside him exploded—a wild torrent of energy surging through his body.
A small shockwave rippled across the ground as Kyro summoned an invisible barrier with all his strength. Solis was thrown backward by the force of the shockwave. Kyro staggered, his head spinning, desperately trying to focus.
He had no idea what had just happened. There was a blackout, a void in his memory, before he suddenly awoke in a state of boundless energy.
"That was Resonance," Echo said, her eyes glowing as she gazed across the room. "It was weak, but it was there."
Kyro looked at Solis with new, cold eyes. He felt stronger, faster than ever before. His movements were fluid and filled with power. His hand shot forward, and with a cry that roared like thunder, he swung a blow that seemed to shake everything around him.
Echo realized the danger. Kyro's strike was far too strong. It would tear Solis apart if she didn't stop it.
"Stop, Kyro!" she shouted, but Kyro could no longer hear her. He was consumed by an invisible rage and power.
Echo moved forward with incredible speed, raising a radiant shield with her Resonance to block Kyro's attack. The energy rippled around them, and Echo stumbled back from the force.
Kyro wavered, his eyes losing their glow, and he collapsed unconscious to the ground.
"Solis, quickly!" Echo called. "We need to get him to the treatment room!"
When Kyro woke up in a treatment room, he was lying on a cold, metallic bed, hooked up to cables and sensors. His head throbbed, his limbs ached, and he felt weak. The room was dark and cool, with blinking lights flickering on the walls.
