"You're fighting with raw power," Solis said. "You need to learn to use the Resonance."
Echo watched Kyro closely. "Be careful, Solis," she said in a warning tone. "He's new, but he has a lot of potential."
Solis grinned. "I've heard the new guy has a special gift. Let's see if he knows how to use it."
Kyro could feel the energy pulsing within him. He could sense the Resonance, but he didn't know how to wield it. He had always dreamed of becoming stronger, but this power was greater than anything he could have imagined.
Then Solis attacked, and Kyro tried to defend himself. He staggered back as Solis' strike hit him with a speed unlike anything he'd experienced before. The attack wasn't just powerful—it seemed to be cloaked in an invisible glow. Kyro felt the energy shoot through his arm, sending a burning pain through him.
"You're too slow," Solis taunted, moving like a shadowy creature around Kyro. His attacks were lightning-fast and precise. Kyro tried to dodge and counter, but he could barely follow Solis' movements. Every blow carried a force that seemed to be fueled by an unseen source.
"You have to use the Resonance, Kyro!" Echo shouted from the sidelines. "It's your strength, not your weakness."
Kyro groaned. "I don't know how!"
"Focus on the energy inside you!" another White Wolf called out. "Let it flow!"
Kyro heard the words echoing from the side, but he was at a loss. He had no idea how to tap into the Resonance. He fought only with raw strength and instinct, but it wasn't enough against Solis.
"You don't stand a chance," Solis said with a mocking smile. "You're just a piece of driftwood trying to defy the sun."
Solis lunged again, and Kyro was pushed into the corner of the training room. He could feel the pressure building, the panic rising inside him. In that moment, Kyro thought of Aria. Of her words, her strength, the embraces that had shielded him during the dark nights in the slums.
"You have to be strong, Kyro," her voice whispered in his mind. "You have to fight. You have to fight for what you believe in."
