One of the members stammered: "W-What… This is impossible!"
Another member: "A Shinsei? Here? With us?"
Echo and Shade exchanged knowing glances, both with faint grins on their lips. It was as if they had always suspected Kyro was something special.
Rioji, on the other hand, froze. His eyes widened with envy and rage.
"This… this can't be!" he growled softly. His fists clenched as he glared at Kyro, who was still staring unbelievingly at the screen.
Kyro turned around, looked directly into Rioji's eyes, and said in a firm voice: "I may not look strong, but I can become stronger. Stronger than you. If you train me, I'll prove it to you."
The members of the White Wolves stared at Kyro as if he were a vision. Some murmured to each other, others were speechless. Rioji gritted his teeth before finally taking a deep breath.
"Fine," he said reluctantly. "But only because I want to see you fail." A bitter undertone accompanied his words. "And don't forget – just because you're a Shinsei doesn't mean you'll surpass me."
Scene: The World of Resonance and the Four Pillars
Location: Rioji's training room. Kyro stands nervously before a massive hologram visualizing the four pillars of the ranking system: Shodan, Nidan, Sandan, and Shinsei. Rioji explains the resonance types, divisions, and the abilities of the commanders.
• Rioji: "Kyro, in this world, resonance is everything. It is a powerful energy that affects not only our bodies but our thoughts and our souls. Only those who master resonance can truly unleash their power and survive in this world. Resonance has four different levels, which we refer to as 'pillars.' Each level is a challenge and requires hard training and talent."
