The Decision
Kyro and Rex remained hidden in the shadows of the wreckage, watching the unfolding scene with growing tension. It was obvious now—Ezryel was far stronger than they had ever expected. Rex took a deep breath, his fingers tightening around his bow before glancing at Kyro.
"This is… too much," Rex murmured. "We have to act. Alone, we don't stand a chance."
Kyro nodded, his grip on his weapon firm. "But with Neo and Nia? If we work together, we can stop him."
They exchanged one final, determined glance. There was no other choice if they wanted to maintain control over the Wolf Ritual. Carefully, they moved toward Neo and Nia, who were also catching their breath, preparing for the next move.
The Union of Forces
"Listen," Rex called out to Neo and Nia. "Ezryel is too strong. If we want to beat him, we have to work together."
Neo clenched his teeth, shooting a quick glance at Ezryel before growling, "I'm done playing these games. Let's finish this."
"You don't know what you're getting yourselves into," Nia warned, positioning herself for battle. "But if we don't act now, it might be too late."
Rex, Kyro, Neo, and Nia stood firm, their eyes locked on Ezryel. From a distance, he observed them with an amused smirk.
The Alliance Forms
"This isn't good," Rex muttered, drawing back his bow and forming a resonance arrow. "This is an entirely different level."
Kyro stepped up beside him, sword at the ready. "We don't have a choice. If we don't stop him, he'll take the crystals—or take us."
Neo and Nia exchanged a brief glance.
"Rex is right," Nia said firmly. "If we don't work together, he'll pick us off one by one."
Neo exhaled sharply. "Alright, but we have to be precise. He has more power, but that costs him energy."
Rex eyed them quickly. "Good. Neo, focus on speed—keep him off balance. Nia, be ready to teleport if he targets you. Kyro and I will handle the rest."
"Sounds like a plan," Neo said, activating Time Fracture.
Ezryel Withdraws
Ezryel paused, his icy resonance flickering. Slowly, he raised a hand and allowed the battle to halt for a moment.
"You're better than I expected," he said with a smug grin. "But you're also incredibly annoying. Like vermin that just won't disappear."
Rex raised another arrow, but Ezryel merely shook his head.
"Don't worry. I'll get my crystals elsewhere."
With one final surge of lightning and ice, Ezryel vanished into a swirling storm of energy, leaving the four warriors behind—exhausted, but alive.
Rex lowered his bow, breathing heavily. "That was… close."
Kyro sheathed his weapon, nodding. "Too close. He could have beaten us."
Neo and Nia stepped forward, both visibly drained.
