"We don't have much time left!" Neo shouted. "The labyrinth… it's catching up to us!"
At the last moment, before the labyrinth could shift again, Neo activated Time Fracture, accelerating his team while slowing the labyrinth's movements. This allowed both teams to reach the relic's center almost simultaneously.
"Quick, grab it!" Ezryel commanded.
At the same time, Rex gave the same order.
Without another word, Neo dashed toward the relic at an inhuman speed. At the same moment, Nia activated her teleportation ability.
Just as Neo was about to grab the relic, it flickered out of his reach—Nia had teleported it away at the last second.
The air crackled with tension as both teams faced each other in the heart of the cavern—the battle had begun.
Ezryel, the captain of Team A, activated his Resonance Relic. The dial landed on Flame Resonance, and instantly, he unleashed a wave of fire, forcing Team B to scatter. Stella reinforced their attack, summoning radiant constructs of light—shimmering barriers and sharp blades that hemmed Team B in.
Rex, the captain of Team B, reacted immediately. "Defensive formation! Liebe, Kyro—hold them off! Neo, get the relic!"
Using his Kinetic Resonance, he created a massive shield, blocking the flames and light blades.
Nia attempted to teleport the relic to a safe location, but Kyro charged forward, his resonance energy surging.
"Not so fast!" With a burst of raw resonance, Kyro reinforced his body and unleashed a shockwave, temporarily disrupting both the relic and Nia's teleportation.
Nia disappeared in the blink of an eye, reappearing at different points around Kyro, her movements graceful and precise.
"You won't stop me!" she called out, desperately searching for a new teleportation point for the relic.
Kyro's resonance abilities granted him immense strength and speed. He shattered one of Stella's light barriers, forcing Nia onto the defensive.
"You can't run forever!" Kyro shouted as he cornered her.
Liebe vs. Ezryel
Liebe, wielding his Kinetic Sword – Excalibur, stepped up to face Ezryel head-on.
Ezryel whispered into his amulet: "More power…" as he turned it.
Lightning crackled around him, his speed skyrocketing. But Liebe remained unfazed. "You're strong, but you underestimate me!" he called out, using Kinetic Reflection to deflect Ezryel's attacks.
The two engaged in a fierce close-combat duel, their resonance forces clashing with every strike, lighting up the battlefield with surges of energy.
"I'm not here to defeat you—I'm here to win!" Liebe declared, gathering strength for a powerful blow. Ezryel stepped back, determination burning in his eyes.
Stella and Kirah Take Action
Meanwhile, Stella supported Nia by creating illusions with her Light Resonance, confusing Kyro. Kirah used her ability to see glimpses of the future to guide her team with precise tactical directions.
"Nia, teleport—left side!" she called out, and Nia followed her command, dodging Kyro.
"Impressive," Neo murmured as he observed the battle. Using his Echo Resonance, he copied Kirah's ability and began analyzing possible outcomes.
"Now I see through your strategies."
The Turning Point
Rex realized they needed to buy time. "Neo, grab the relic! Liebe, block Ezryel! Kyro, take down Stella!"
Summoning a Kinetic Falcon, Rex disrupted Stella's focus, giving Kyro an opening to destroy her light constructs.
Nia, now isolated, was caught off guard as Neo outmaneuvered her using her own teleportation abilities.
"The relic is ours!" Neo shouted as he snatched it from Nia.
But Ezryel intervened. Surging forward with his Lightning Resonance, he struck Neo down. "Not so fast, copycat!" he called out, just as he reached for the relic. But Liebe was there—blocking Ezryel's attack with Excalibur and pushing him back.
The Final Moment
Nia made one last attempt to teleport to the relic, but Kyro stopped her with a resonance-infused strike that made the ground tremble beneath them.
Kirah tried using her visions to turn the tide for Team A, but Neo had copied her ability and was always one step ahead.
"How is that possible?!" Kirah gasped, but Neo only gave her a cold, calculating look.
"It's not enough to see the future—you have to control it."
Rex took the opportunity to send the relic toward the surface, but Stella and Nia blocked his path. Stella conjured a massive light shield, while Nia teleported the relic back into safety.
"We won't give up!" Ezryel roared, charging at Rex, who was visibly exhausted.
Ezryel was so close to victory—the thought of losing was unbearable.
His gaze locked onto his target: the key around Rex's neck. If he took it, Team A would win.
"You'll have to go through me first!" Liebe said firmly, stepping in front of Rex.
Liebe vs. Ezryel
Ezryel didn't hesitate and charged at Liebe. Their resonances collided with such force that the ground beneath them shook. Liebe swung Excalibur with impressive precision, blocking Ezryel's electric strikes, but it quickly became clear that Ezryel was growing stronger.
"Give up, Liebe!" Ezryel shouted as he prepared a massive lightning attack.
Liebe dodged, his movements precise, but he could feel how Ezryel's power was gradually pushing him to his limits. "He's stronger than I thought," Liebe whispered as sweat ran down his forehead. But giving up was not an option.
The Decision: Thousand Strikes of Zenith
Liebe knew he had only one way to stop Ezryel. He focused, his resonance energy beginning to pulse around him. "I have no other choice… I have to use Thousand Strikes of Zenith!" he murmured.
Around him, the first kinetic arms materialized, glowing with energy. Each arm moved with precision and strength, leaving no room for defense. Ezryel recognized the danger and increased his lightning resonance. "You won't succeed!" he shouted and rushed at Liebe with full force.
Just as Liebe began to manifest the remaining arms, a loud gong suddenly rang out. A deafening chime filled the underground labyrinth—the time was up.
The End of the Battle
Liebe stopped his technique and let the kinetic arms vanish. His chest rose and fell heavily as Ezryel stood before him, lightning crackling in his hands.
For a moment, it seemed as if Ezryel would attack despite the time limit, but in the end, he let the energy dissipate. His shoulders slumped, the frustration and defeat clearly visible.
"It's… over," Ezryel muttered, his voice trembling with suppressed anger.
Rex stepped forward, still in a defensive stance, but Liebe held him back.
"No need. The fight is over."
