dangerous situation

She noticed that it was almost dark outside and decided to go back as fast as possible but she couldn't find her way back home either.

Panic started filling up her body and mind.

She started feeling super nervous and at that exact same time, a thunder lightened up the sky.

Cold sweat started building on her forehead when she realized that it was going to rain soon.

Another thunder lightened up the whole sky but this time a loud sound was made.

Alora started remembering an incident from her childhood.

Flashback:

It was right before the rain and Amara was outside, chilling alone with her coffee.

She was sitting alone in the forest behind their school. This day was special since everyone from the pack decided to go on a picnic and she didn't have any work to do. She could finally be happy.

The breeze was too dense and the trees looked like they were going to fly away with the cold breeze.

Amara was enjoying the atmosphere, sitting under a tree.

It was getting dark outside slowly.

She decided to go back home as it was dangerous for her to stay out at such a time.

Just as she started walking, a thunder lightened and fall on a tree, just a few meters away from her.

A loud scream left her mouth and she fainted there.

When her eyes opened, she found herself in a hospital bed.

A few strangers said that they were roaming around the forest and found her lying there.

They brought her to the hospital. Her father scolded her a lot that day.

Flashback ends.

Nicolas finally came out of his room.

"This guy talks so much. I couldn't even cut the call. Poor Amara must be waiting for me. I shouldn't have attend the call," he started cursing himself under his breath.

"I am extremely sorry for making you wait so much - Amara? Amara! Where are you?" His eyes were now holding fear.

He started running here and there, calling her name but he couldn't find her.

He was feeling so scared that his blood was turning cold. He has never been this worried about someone in his entire life.

"Amara, where are you?" He muttered helplessly under his breath.

He was about to call everyone to start searching for her but just then he saw two kids coming towards him.

"Hello, Alpha," they greeted him with a smile.

"Hello, have you both seen a girl with brown hair? She is this tall," he said, trying to give them a idea about her looks.

They looked at each other before looking at him.

"Yes, we have seen a girl like this. She was standing here when we were talking. Why? Who is she?" They asked.

What caught Nicolas's attention is them talking.

"What were you both talking about?" He asked, hurriedly.

"I was telling her about the forest behind our home. It's really beautiful and was telling her to visit it," the guy said.

"Forest," Nicolas muttered under his breath.

"What did you say to her? Was that girl close enough to hear your conversation?" He asked and the other two nodded their heads.

"I said that the forest is really beautiful and also that it's harmless," the guy said.

"Harmless? There's an lion there," Nicolas couldn't help but raise his voice.

"A lion can't do anything to us. We can easily beat it," that little guy said with a shoulder shrug.

Nicolas felt like punching himself in the face. That guy wasn't big enough to have the ability to turn into a wolf yet and he was already this confident.

He liked his courage and confidence yet he couldn't help but worry about him.

"You both can't shift into a wolf yet. Hence , the lion can easily harm you both. Don't go there alone yet, ok?" He said and they nodded their heads.

As their Alpha, he wanted to lecture them a little more about safety and other things but he was short in time. He still had to get Amara.

He doesn't know whether they were going to follow what he has said or not but it was his duty to warn them and he just completed it.

"She just have gone there," muttering under his breath, he left from there.

Amara was scared.

Nicolas on the other hand was rushing toward the forest as fast as he could.

He was feeling scared for Amara's life.

It's not like he has never been scared before in his life, he has been scared a lot of times but for the first time, he was scared for someone other than his family.

He has heard that a few villagers got hurt while roaming around the forest a few days ago and now, the forest wasn't as safe as it used to be.

There's a rumor going all over that a lion lives there and it would hurt whoever goes in front of it.

They were werewolves and could easily protect themselves but she wasn't one of them. She was just an human who couldn't fight against a lion.

Worst scenarios were coming to his mind one after another and he was getting more scared with each passing second.

"Please stay safe, Amara. I don't want you getting hurt," he muttered under his breath.

Soon he reached the forest and started walking in the mud.

The ground was slippery and his terror got bigger.

'What if she falls inside of a hole?'

'What if some animal hurts her?'

Strange questions regarding her safety were coming inside of his head.

He was searching for her desperately without worrying about his own safety.

He heard an animalistic growl coming from a distant place and his heart started beating faster than before.

'What if it's some savage beast, attacking Amara?'

'What if I am too late to save her?'

These questions were hitting him in the heart like stones.

He started running towards the way, from where the growl came from.
