Ch.16 New Journey

Inside the cave lit by torches, you can see Yucheng sitting in a lotus position over a mat made of animal skin.

He had hunted some animals from the foot of the mountain and expanded this cave, lit by torches and some simple decorations this finally looked like somewhat of a place fit for living.

Middle-grade spiritual stones surrounded him as he prepared to ascend to the next stage. Closing his eyes he ran the technique as spiritual energy started to flow through his 108 spiritual roots.

Feeling the spiritual energy in his body he started to guide them, the spiritual patterns in his spiritual roots lit up as they started to release massive amounts of spiritual energy inside his body.

The spiritual energy passed through all of his internal organs before reaching his bones and getting absorbed by it.

Rupture! Crack!

Sounds of organs rupturing and bones cracking were heard as Yucheng bit his lips to keep himself focused.

Using his spiritual energy he made sure that body floe wasn't disturbed in his body during this process.

You can see cracks in the organs and the bones inside the body, but before they can get more severe they are healed by the blessing of spiritual energy.

This newly healed part is stronger and more durable than before, but as the concentration of spiritual energy continued to increase they were damaged again.

This process of breaking and healing repeated again and again as days passed by, a spiritual storm formed around him as he absorbed all the energy released by the middle-grade spiritual stones surrounding him.

A few months passed by, the torches had all died down ages ago leaving the cave in darkness. Yucheng stayed in the same position for months as he was immersed in cultivation.

Inside his body, the bones and organs had started to give a blue glow as spiritual patterns appeared on them.

As more and more spiritual patterns appeared the pain felt by Yucheng lessened and the effect of spiritual energy on his internal body decreased.

With sounds of bones cracking Yucheng stood up, even though he hadn't eaten for months he didn't feel any discomfort.

It was the magic of being a cultivator, even if he had just started his journey.

"Let's test my current strength."

Yucheng muttered as he walked out of the cave and appeared in the surface of the crater, seeing the crater he was damaged as always as he couldn't believe such a damage was done by a attack.

In terms of pure destructive power, he had a feeling that this attack was thousands of times stronger than any nuclear bomb.

"Let's test speed first."

Getting back to focus he muttered as he got into a running position, his muscles started to contract as they were waiting to explode with all their power.

With the sound of air completely breaking Yuchen's figure disappeared leaving a small crater where he stood.

From the sky, you can see a streak of light moving in a straight line, his speed so extreme that he left a small raven as he passed by.

Dust moves as the figure travels at a speed hundreds of times the speed of sound, a speed no human in his previous life could reach.

Although this speed looked amazing from the outside if you could see Yucheng's face you can find that it was panicked.

His brain couldn't process the current speed he was moving, so he couldn't even turn his body. Suddenly he slipped as he slammed into the ground at extreme speed.

BOOOOMMM!!!!

A sound of meteorite crashing appeared as dust and debris flew into the sky, and the ground cracked as a small crater of hundreds of meters was created.

"Haaa, Scary!"

Yucheng exclaimed as he stood up from the ground, his clothes were damaged greatly but his body didn't sustain any damage.

This was the horror of his insane durability, no mortal could ever home to harm him with normal means.

Although he could be said to be the extreme of strength in the Qi period due to his own natural strength this doesn't diminish the horror of cultivator in any way.

"Less damage than I thought."

Yucheng muttered as he looked at the small crater he had created due to his fall, although it looked impressive if this was Earth, with the speed he was moving at the damage would have been hundreds of times greater.

This is a very dangerous step and he was very careful when doing it. Controlling the amount of spiritual energy that was being supplied to the brain he started the slow process of Spirit Awakening.

Months passed by as seasons changed, and suddenly a wave of spiritual energy erupted with Yucheng as the center.

His spiritual sense started to expand with great speed as it covered an area of hundred-kilometer square around him.

In this area, he could sense everything, every little movement and every little detail. After a while, the spiritual sense closed as he couldn't sustain it.

Yucheng didn't show any feelings toward that as he was busy with something else currently, due to his increased thinking speed he could look at every minute of changes happening inside his body.

In his, he could see a golden fog surrounding his spiritual roots, bones, and organs. This golden fog was the laws of heaven and earth trapped in the high-grade spiritual stones.

His body started to greedily absorb the golden flow as the spiritual patterns engraved into his body started to turn golden.

As the changes happened waves upon waves of spiritual energy were being absorbed as they flowed through his body.

His spiritual roots, bones, and organs started to glow a golden color as billions upon billions of microscopic golden patterns covered them.

Finally, the spiritual energy calmed down as the golden fog disappeared, what was left behind was the golden spiritual roots, bones, and organs.

He focused his spiritual sense inward but didn't feel any change in his strength. Since there was no harm done to his body he just shrugged his shoulder.

He can ask about this situation from his master in the future, after all there is no use worrying about it currently.

Another change was the fact that his spiritual roots started to change the flow of spiritual energy toward his stomach area.

In there an illusory space was being created, it was his Dantina, since this was a passive process he stopped looking at it after a while.

Opening his eyes the first this that appeared in his vision was the used-up high-grade spiritual stones.

Seeing this his heart trembled, even though he had enough low-grade spiritual stone left around he felt poor.
