Ch.17 New Journey(2)

A day passed, and Yucheng woke up from his small nap. Feeling fresh, he stood up and started to prepare for the journey ahead.

Looking at his tattered clothes his eyes twitched a little but there was nothing he could do about it.

"Master you should have at least left some clothes."

Yucheng muttered with some complaints. After all, mortal clothes could not handle his current strength.

If he moves fast enough, he will tear them apart. Well, I guess his master also forgets about this matter.

"No one is all-knowing I guess."

Thinks that he packed up all the spirit stones lying around, although they were only lesser-grade spiritual stones with so much it had increased the concentration of spiritual energy in the cave by a good amount.

Closing his eyes he took a deep breath as all the lingering spiritual energy was absorbed by his body.

There was no change in the speed of his dantina formation but it was normal, after all, it was a passive process.

All the books had already been packed so he didn't have to worry about them, with a quick movement he extinguished all the flames of the torch.

He spread his spirit sense just to make sure he hadn't missed anything, in this state he could see and look through anything.

It was just like a form of omnipotence, if he focused hard enough he could even see what the rocks and stones were made up of.

"Ah, I wonder what will happen if I focus on the emblem of the sect."

Yucheng muttered thoughtfully, yesterday when he had focused his spirit sense on the cultivation manual he had seen the formation inscribed on them.

So the next second he took out the emblem and focused his spirit sense on it, in his eyes the emblem changed as he could see all the materials it was made out of.

Although he didn't know the materials he found them quite magical, in his vision the formation inscribed on the emblem appeared.

It was made of hundreds of small formation patterns linked together to form the complex system called formation.

Hum!!

Suddenly the emblem started to hum, a flash of information passed through his head as he heard his master's voice.

"Since you have reached the Spirit Awakening stage here is a gift for you."

After those words flashed by seven sets of pure white Taoist clothes fell to the ground, although dust from the ground rose they weren't able to stain the robes.

Slisss!

Then a sword also fell down falling to the ground, due to having it's tip pointed to the ground it pierced through it in a simple motion.

"I take everything back, Master you truly are the greatest."

Yucheng praised his master, it seems his master had though of this possibility. Though he wondered if he didn't use spirit sense on the emblem will he have had to wear tattered clothes.

"Whatever.. The master must have thought of this.. right.."

He muttered but he got no answer, having already bathed in the underground river he found months ago he quickly changed his clothes.

Shaving what beard had grown on his face he tied his long hair, feeling a little uncomfortable he let them fall loose.

"Much better."

He muttered as he wrapped the sword around his waist, the space pouch was tied next to it, feeling the flexibility and strength of the clothes he nodded his head with appreciation.

"Well, then let's see what this world has to offer."

With a little force, he disappeared as he moved with the highest speed he could muster, feeling the wind slamming his body he smiled as he walked toward a direction.

His village was near Weeping Mountain so he knew it's general direction, plus the evil cultivators had never blindfolded them when bringing them here.

So after an hour or so of moving at full speed, he reached the location of the village. Looking at the silent village he didn't say anything else but slowly walked toward the direction of his house.

Looking around he saw that the blood that had been spilled had dried, some houses had completely collapsed whereas some houses were completely intact.

It seems the empire hadn't sent anyone here after the defeat of the army, finally he reached the half-collapsed house.

It was the house where he had spent 16 years of his life, two years had passed but he could still vividly remember all of his childhood he spent here.

Looking at the rubbles of the wall he didn't see his father's body, it must have been converted into a blood pill.

"Father, I am back... but please forgive me that I can't stay here."

He said as he bowed his head, he didn't shed a single tear not because he wasn't sad but because he felt like he wasn't worthy enough to shed a tear for his father.

After all, he knew even with his current strength he couldn't take revenge on the one who took his father's life.

After saying his final words he walked out of the house, his eyes turned toward a certain direction as he walked there.

The air around him started to get chilly but he wasn't affected by his, through his spirit sense he could see a mass of resentment that had gathered.

It was the anger, resentment, sadness, and hate of those who died that day and were converted into blood pills.

It was the same type of resentment that plagued the Weeping Mountain and mutated the trees there.

But here there is no Golden Core realm cultivator to suppress this resentment so a special entity has formed.

What appeared before his eyes was a grayish-black figure, humanoid in shape but having no face. Even so just by looking at its blank head, one can feel the despair it had.

"Why.. didn't you save us..."

"Why.. did we have to die..."

"Why did you kill us...."

Various voices were heard by Yucheng as the figure pounced at him, it sped so fast that it pierced the air in an instant.

A claw swiped toward his head if it were a mortal or a new Root Awakening stage cultivator this would have led them to a dead end.

"All those who wronged you have died, so may your resentment rest here."

Yucheng muttered calmly as he watched the claw appearing near his face, what looked fast to others was like snails moving toward him.

Gripping the hilt of his sword he made a simple slashing motion, and the claw and the head of the ghost fell as a goldish-blue spiritual energy lingered.

"Hmm, my spiritual energy has started to form its characteristics."

Yucheng muttered as he looked at the golden color mixed with the blue, this is something that can only be done by a Foundation Period cultivator so it means his dantina is about to be formed.

"I should find a spiritually rich place before it reaches that point."

Yucheng muttered as his figure disappeared, the corpse of the ghost burned with golden flames as it also dissipated into the air.
