Sophie's eyes widened as she studied the cryptic note. "Look to the heart of the forest," she whispered.

At first, they thought it was a puzzle, but Sophie's memories of Emily's love for the forest clicked into place. "I think I know what this means," Sophie said, determination etched on her face.

"The forest is where Emily felt safest," Sophie explained. "Her favorite tree is there. I think that's where we'll find her."

The detectives nodded, and together they ventured into the forest. As they walked, the trees seemed to grow taller, casting long, ominous shadows on the ground.

Meanwhile, The Shadow's power grew stronger, its presence surrounding Emily like a protective cloak. It began to gather information, whispering secrets to Emily about the locking spirit that surrounded Oakwood.

"You have the power to break the curse," The Shadow whispered. "But first, you must understand the truth."
