Epic Item Collected

Seeing the confirmation notification, a bright light appeared in Kael's eyes.

"It's indeed possible as long as the rarity is not the same."

Reading the notification again, Kael could not help but hesitate.

Unlike the Rare Grade Fierce Goblin Blood Essence, he only has a total of 2 Epic Grade Fierce Goblin Blood Essence.

He had already hesitated for a bit when he Collected the Rare Grade, how much more if it was the Epic one.

It must be noted that Epic Grade was the highest Grade of all his items at this moment.

If he used such an item to collect, they would forever be unavailable for him to use.

Although he was not aware of the real value of such an item yet, it was still apparent that it was very valuable.

"So be it! I'll just try this one. I just hope that I can still encounter Uncommon goblins in the future."

"They should not be that rare to encounter, right?"

Gritting his teeth, Kael confirmed and Collected the Epic Grade Fierce Goblin Blood Essence with a bleeding heart.

Kael's eyes lit up upon seeing the increase.

"I don't know if this sacrifice is worth it, though." He sighed in lament, recalling how an Epic item was 'dissolved' for an increase like this to be possible.

His heart was still bleeding, but the increase in his stats eased the pain a bit, at the very least.

Although faint, Kael could actually feel the increase in his Str and Vit.

At the very least, he knew that he was significantly stronger than when he first arrived here.

"Stats."

Looking at his status profile, it was indeed much richer compared to the first time he saw it.

Kael nodded his head in satisfaction before closing the window.

"Sacrificing an Epic item is still a hard thing to bear. I'll save more of them first before sacrificing them as a Collection again."

Up ahead was Enrio.

Retrieving the Ordinary Sword, Kael resumed his journey, silently hoping for more monsters to come his way.

More and more players were seen by Kael along the way.

There were even times when he would encounter a goblin, only for him to realize that it was already being targeted by another player.

In that scenario, Kael could only retreat and find another one.

This early in the game, Vivian had repeatedly suggested not to create any trouble with other players as it would only hinder his progress.

His primary goal at this moment was to reach Enrio and then level up to 10 and awaken his desired class.

As a scavenger, Kael also knew that fighting over a goblin was not a good thing, as it was not even a rare monster in the first place. There were a lot of them along his way to Enrio. Sooner or later, he would be able to encounter one that was not being targeted by another player.

Soon enough, Kael found a lone Fierce Goblin.

Looking around, he did not see any players, and the Fierce Goblin was clearly not an injured one.

Grade: Common

Level: 3

Droppable Materials:...

Seeing no problem, Kael readied his sword to attack the Fierce Goblin at the most opportune time.

The Fierce Goblin noticed him a few seconds later.

It was only an ordinary Fierce Goblin, so it immediately rushed toward him without much thought. Kael had dealt with such a goblin before, and it was no longer a trouble for him.

With a clean swipe, the Fierce Goblin was beheaded and turned into particles of light, transforming into items that were directly stored inside his Inventory.

Since he was already a level higher than that goblin, the experience points he obtained were deducted.

But the items dropped were still the same aside from their quantity that differs from one monster to another.

Satisfied, Kael was about to continue moving forward when he was alerted by something.

Turning his head, Kael gripped his sword tightly and stared at the two people emerging from the bushes.

Glancing above their head, a floating green gem could be seen, relieving his wariness slightly.

He did not let his guard down, though.

Kael stared at them intently, ready to respond to anything necessary.

As a scavenger, he knew when not to talk. Given a situation like this, it was better to keep silent, lest he provoke the opposing party with unnecessary words.

He might be overthinking it, but overthinking was better than regretting it later.

Meanwhile, seeing him have no reaction with his sword in front ready to act, the two players immediately raised their empty hands up in the air.

"We mean no harm. We are just simply passing by, right?" The player on the right said hurriedly as he elbowed the other player.

The player on the left nodded his head repeatedly, clearly nervous and afraid.

Seeing their tense body movements, Kael nodded his head and slowly retreated away, not wanting any trouble.

After his figure disappeared, the two players looked at each other and clearly saw the relief flashing through each of their eyes.

"That player must be nearing level 10 already, as he easily killed that Fierce Goblin with a strike."

The other player nodded his head in agreement.

"Good thing we did not continue with our initial plan, else we could have died and had our level deducted for nothing."

They were actually about to steal that Fierce Goblin earlier, but the battle ended so quickly that both of them were not able to react when the Fierce Goblin's head flew out of its neck.

"Yes. Let's search for another monster to target."

"Alright."
