I hugged Uncle James seeking solace in his embrace, and he hugged me back warmly.
"It's fine. I'm here for you. Okay?" He cooed, his voice soothing.
I took a deep breath, relieved that the dream wasn't real. I didn't want to imagine what could have happened if it were.
Uncle James got me a glass of water, gulping it down .I finally said
" I saw him", my voice trembling.
Uncle James gently separated us, his expression shifting to one of concern. " you saw who?"
" Th…that man. I saw him. I saw my Father, I couldn't see him clearly because of the dark," I stammered, trying to calm my racing heart.
"Calm down and tell me everything ok"? Uncle James said as he held my shoulder
I took a deep breath and continued
" He told me that the blood running in my veins is his . But I rebuked his words, I didn't let them take root. I just don't understand why the dream feels so real".
"He practices black magic and can enter peoples dream , it might be from him , it might not be from him too so just pray dear. uncle James said
My face pales the moment I heard him
Uncle James assured me" it's fine dear. There's nothing he can do to you, okay? Remember GOD'S protection surrounds you."
I nodded, trying to believe his words fully, and then hesitantly asked, " when will grandma be buried?"
Uncle James smiled gently " Eat something first. I got porridge for you. I'll answer your question after you've had your meal."
