27. Draken (Part 3)

Continued...

"This is Rose, ladies and gentle men. Rose Gabrielle," A smooth voice rang from the back. But there was something mocking hidden in that voice.

Why did he say it in such a weird way? Like he meant something between the lines. Something humiliating.

Something prickly felt pert up on the spine on my back.

Draken. Of course, what did I expect.

How the hell does he know my name, though?

Moreover, I am done letting him interrupt me every time he is lurking around me. This is getting out of hand, now he wouldn't even let me introduce my own damn self by my own damn self?

I turned to glare at him, unfazed by the curious stares around us. "Oh, how thoughtful—" I even shifted my glare to a mocking sweet smile. "—mansplaining my own name. What's next? Teaching me how to breathe? Next time, try letting me handle the things I've been doing perfectly fine my whole life."

Draken tilted his head staring back with no words and a rising brow, leaning back in his seat.

"Ooooh, burn!" Aria coughed in her fist, barely containing her laughter as a few chuckles spread through the room.

Even Mr. Aspen cleared his throat, his lips twitching slightly.

Ha! Take that, stalker.

"Alright, Ms. Gabrielle," Mr. Aspen continued, regaining his composure. "Since you're new, it is understandable to be confused on the first day since you joined us at your own leisure." He gave a pointed look and I gave a guilty smile.

"That doesn't mean you get a free pass at disrupting my lectures whenever you want. But let's keep the witty back-and-forth for after class, shall we? And the same goes for your friend."

Clearing her throat, Aria smiled nodding obediently, "Won't happen again." The minx was getting a kick out of this, I'm sure.

"As for the material you have missed. I will be taking care of that. I expect you in my office after classes to go over what course of action we need to be taking for the matter."

I sighed. Great.

My first day and I am being called in after classes.

He turned and began scribbling on the board once more, though his clear voice rang again, "Oh and girls, if you decide to do that little chatting session again, you will spend the rest of the semester doing the same just standing outside of my class."

Well that was enough to shut everyone right up.
