Almost instantly, hatred filled my chest.
I pulled at the corner of my mouth, fixing Susan with an icy stare.
"Thanks to you, if you hadn't taken all the rescue team members away, would I have ended up like this?"
"Carter's probably up and about now, isn't he? To save him, you didn't care about anyone else's life, did you?"
Hearing my accusations, Susan's face grew even paler.
She looked around at the doctors and nurses blocking her way, their eyes cold and indifferent towards her.
As if she were some unforgivable criminal.
Susan seemed to realize something and suddenly let out a cold laugh, her initial panicked expression completely gone.
"Is this another one of your new tricks? Just because I saved Carter first, you could be heartless enough to amputate your own leg. With medical technology so advanced nowadays, I don't believe amputation was the only way to save your life!"
Susan didn't believe me, which was to be expected.
