Chapter 114: Your Turn, Dio!

Chapter 114: Your Turn, Dio!

Dio had been lost in the Atlantic for quite some time, making Chang Wei go through a lot of trouble to find him. But in the end, Chang Wei still managed to track him down.

After salvaging Dio from the depths, Chang Wei opened the coffin—only to be ambushed by Dio, who had been lying inside for ages.

Now fully awakened, Dio felt an overwhelming hunger. Conveniently, a "loaf of bread" was standing right in front of him. And judging by appearance alone, Chang Wei wasn't too bad-looking either. At the very least, Dio thought that this particular meal seemed rather appetizing.

"You've got quite a bit of energy, huh?"

Just as Dio registered those words, his mind went blank. Chang Wei had used his psychic abilities to knock him out cold.

Vampires were generally tricky to subdue—but that didn't apply to Chang Wei.

Without much hassle, Chang Wei brought Dio back to the SPW Foundation headquarters. There, he had Speedwagon arrange a private room for him before tossing Dio inside.

By the time Dio regained consciousness, the way he looked at Chang Wei had already changed.

He had believed that becoming a vampire made him invincible. Yet, he had encountered Chang Wei—a man who knocked him unconscious in an instant.

Dio despised that feeling. Until he figured out what had happened, he wouldn't act recklessly.

"You've learned your lesson, huh? Not bad. At least that means you've got a brain."

Chang Wei smiled as he stepped into the room.

"What exactly are you? A Ripple user from the Ripple clan? Or a member of the Joestar family?" Dio asked calmly, keeping his eyes fixed on Chang Wei.

"I have no obligation to answer that. Now then—I've prepared a dog kennel for you. Get in, Dio."

Chang Wei's tone shifted to that of someone calling for a pet dog. As if to accompany his words, a kennel actually materialized beside him. Judging by its size, Dio would have no choice but to crawl if he wanted to fit inside.

"You bastard! Are you mocking me?!" Dio roared.

"You're a villain, Dio."

Chang Wei suddenly spoke in a quiet yet chilling tone.

"A truly repulsive villain. And while I'm certainly no saint, the way I was raised makes it impossible for me to resist tormenting someone like you. Some might call that hypocrisy—believing that only I am allowed to commit evil, while others are not. But I prefer to call it something else: I simply do as I please. Good and evil? They mean nothing compared to my desires."

Dio was momentarily stunned.

This guy… was a far greater monster than he had expected!

That tone, that expression—an unrestrained madness laid bare for all to see. Dio could tell that Chang Wei wasn't posturing. He wasn't some street thug trying to act tough—this was genuine, raw insanity.

"Now, make your choice, Dio." Chang Wei continued. "Either I rewrite your memories, turning you into a real dog to be kept as my pet… or you crawl in yourself, preserving what little remains of your so-called dignity. Oh, I almost forgot—you consider yourself a noble vampire, don't you? Very well, then. The choice is yours: be a dog, or remain as Dio, with your own thoughts intact."

Dio stared at Chang Wei, his mind racing.

Then, he stood up.

"Kneel."

The moment Chang Wei uttered that word, Dio's body collapsed against his will.

"ONOREEEEE!!! KONO DIO GA!!!"

Dio's entire body tensed, but he had no control over it.

"I never gave permission for a dog to stand up and walk like a human."

Chang Wei chuckled.

Dio struggled for a moment before finally gritting his teeth and crawling forward.

He already knew—there was no point in resisting Chang Wei. And he wasn't about to bet on whether Chang Wei could truly alter his memories. Besides, as a vampire, even killing himself wasn't an easy feat.

But Dio's patience was far beyond ordinary. A bit of humiliation? If he ever got the chance, he would make Chang Wei pay!

And so, he crawled into the kennel.

This kennel wasn't just any regular cage—it had been formed by Chang Wei's Stand, Made in China, by replicating the properties of the Ultimate Lifeform.

Since the Ultimate Lifeform could transform into anything, turning into an indestructible cage was a simple task. This way, Dio wouldn't be able to pull any tricks—or rely on the bizarre supernatural forces of the JoJo universe to escape.

Chang Wei found his Stand quite handy. It could even replicate the Ultimate Lifeform! If only it could duplicate himself—then he could have all sorts of fun, even if his only ability was Made in China.

This Stand had the potential to be a true final boss. The possibilities were endless.

It could replicate firearms and ammunition—making Speedwagon's black-market deals practically effortless. The only downside was the heavy strain on stamina and mental energy—definitely not something an old man like Speedwagon could handle.

It could even create highly toxic chemical compounds for assassinations that left no trace.

And most terrifying of all—it could copy living beings. Animals, humans… the potential for chaos was limitless!

Inside the kennel, Dio was on the verge of snapping. This humiliation was far worse than what he had initially imagined.

But even if he exploded with rage, there was nothing he could do to escape the kennel's grasp.

Chang Wei pulled out a Stand Arrow—another creation of Made in China. The original had long since been absorbed by him.

Looking at Dio, he hesitated for a moment.

The main problem was figuring out where to stab Dio to ensure he awakened The World.

If he got it wrong, he might lose the ability to stop time. That wouldn't do—Jotaro's Star Platinum was still years away from fully developing, and it wasn't technically a time-stop ability, but rather extreme physical acceleration.

Dio's body belonged to Jonathan Joestar, with only his head remaining his own.

More importantly, in the original story, Dio hadn't fully adapted to Jonathan's body yet—his left side was still weak.

By bringing Dio back so many years earlier, Chang Wei wondered: Had he fully merged with Jonathan's body? Would The World still have its "scuba gear" phase?

In the end, he decided to just go for it. He stabbed Dio with the Stand Arrow.

Dio immediately felt something change within him. He had no idea what Chang Wei had just done—or why he had been pierced with a golden arrow.

But this feeling… was absolutely excruciating.

In reality, his spirit and soul were being consumed—condensed into the form of a Stand.

Now, all Chang Wei had to do was wait.

And he would personally stand guard.

He didn't need sleep. He didn't need food or water. And to prevent any of the JoJo universe's supernatural forces from interfering, he figured it was best to keep watch himself.

If Dio couldn't endure the process—if something unexpected happened—Chang Wei would be there to handle it immediately.

The process lasted for several days and nights.

And then—

Chang Wei finally saw Dio's Stand manifest.
