Chapter 113: My Stand!
Germany was now too preoccupied with its own troubles, and countries like the United States and Britain had begun launching fierce attacks against the already weakened Nazi regime. The generals in charge were even boasting that they would reach Berlin within a month and capture Hitler alive!
Meanwhile, Chang Wei was considering when to create the second Pillar Man… Oh, wait, now that he had the Ultimate Lifeform template, he could directly create an Ultimate Lifeform instead.
However, now that he had received news of the Stand Arrows, he no longer cared about that matter.
Chang Wei brought Speedwagon with him and arrived in Egypt in what seemed like an instant.
Then, he saw six arrows and a bow placed inside a glass cabinet.
"Have you conducted any research on them?"
Staring at the Stand Arrows inside the cabinet, Chang Wei asked without even turning his head.
"We have researched them…" Speedwagon quickly replied. Of course, they had to study them—at the very least, they needed to figure out why a god-like being such as Chang Wei was so interested in these arrows.
"Hmm."
Chang Wei didn't care much. He simply reached out and ate the glass cabinet—along with the bow and arrows inside it.
At that moment, one of the uniquely shaped arrows pierced his body… No, it didn't actually pierce him. With his flesh's level of durability, the arrow had no chance of penetrating.
It was merely an illusion, a sensory deception. Chang Wei was slightly surprised.
[Unknown virus detected… Activating Super Virus System!]
[Virus analysis complete. Based on host's knowledge, identified as 'Stand Virus'...]
Chang Wei felt a moment of disorientation. The next instant, a shadow behind him began to materialize!
"This is… my Stand?"
Turning around, Chang Wei saw the shadowy figure of his Stand.
Strangely, he immediately understood his Stand's abilities, as well as a system-generated interface based on them.
A small panel appeared under the "Stand Virus" section, displaying information about his Stand.
Stand Name: Made in China
Destructive Power: ?
Speed: ?
Precision: ?
Range: ?
Durability: ?
Potential: ?
Ability: Made in China can replicate and create any object, Stand, creature, or thing. The replicas/creations cannot be destroyed. If given to someone other than the user, they will disappear after ten hours.
Additionally, it can also grant copied Stands to others.
…
"What the hell?!"
What kind of joke was this—Made in China?!
"If it evolves into a Requiem Stand, won't it be Made in China: Requiem? And if it surpasses heaven, it'll be Made in China: Over Heaven? Hmm… that actually sounds kinda cool."
Chang Wei mused over this. As for all the question marks on the panel, it wasn't surprising—his stats likely exceeded the A-rank limit but hadn't quite reached an infinite level, hence the ambiguous readings.
Still, this ability seemed very interesting. There were a lot of ways to make use of it.
At first glance, his Stand resembled Silver Chariot Requiem, but in reality, its form was quite different. While Silver Chariot Requiem had a cowboy-like design, Made in China constantly shifted between the forms of a demon, a human, and a monster.
Did this symbolize Chang Wei's ever-changing abilities and thoughts?
To replicate or create something, Made in China had to make physical contact with the target. The more complex the object, the longer it took to copy, and the longer contact had to be maintained.
Fortunately, Made in China came with a backup function—once something was copied once, it could be recreated freely without needing to be copied again.
The Stand Virus had already been fully analyzed by the system, and its evolution path had only one route: Stand Evolution.
Whether it was Requiem, Over Heaven, or Heaven's Creation, all of them were simply Stand evolutions!
If Made in China evolved into a Requiem Stand, what would it become?
Considering that Gold Experience Requiem and Silver Chariot Requiem had abilities completely unrelated to their original forms, Chang Wei suspected that Made in China: Requiem would also gain an entirely new power. More importantly, he wondered if it would develop self-awareness, like how Gold Experience Requiem killed King Crimson without its user even knowing.
He already knew the conditions for reaching Over Heaven, but his system could bypass those requirements. As long as he had enough Gene Points, he could evolve Made in China into Made in China: Over Heaven.
Chang Wei pondered for a moment. If his Stand could develop an ability to travel through parallel worlds, that would be great. After all, the JoJo universe had an incredibly vast multiverse, with all sorts of possibilities.
"Forget it. For now… I'll put this matter aside."
Chang Wei was always cautious. Stand abilities could be ridiculously broken. For example, Heaven's Creation could accelerate not just the world, but the entire universe—a truly incomprehensible concept.
He disliked situations that were beyond his control and detested anything that exceeded his understanding. He definitely wasn't like Father Pucci, who had the guts to speed up the whole universe.
"Still, I could go find DIO and Father Pucci now, let them contract the Stand Virus, and acquire The World and Whitesnake."
Chang Wei decided on his next move. With Divine Light Virus and the Ultimate Lifeform, he could already obtain other people's Stands—even upgraded versions. And now, with Made in China, he had yet another way to do so.
As for Whitesnake, he simply wanted its ability.
Of course, Father Pucci didn't exist yet, so he had plenty of time to wait.
Unless he could acquire a Stand that could accelerate time.
After testing Made in China's abilities, he became particularly interested in its indestructible feature. If it was truly unbreakable, he'd never have to worry about defense again.
However, after conducting actual experiments, Chang Wei shook his head.
The creations and replicas of Made in China weren't fundamentally different from normal objects. The so-called indestructibility didn't exist—it was just that their durability was ridiculously high.
He suspected that this durability was linked to himself. Curious, he copied his own Stand Made in China and gave it to Speedwagon, letting him test its replication ability.
The results were clear.
Items created by Chang Wei's Made in China were at least nuclear explosion-resistant, practically "indestructible."
However, Speedwagon's version of Made in China was much weaker—when he tried to test its durability, the object broke apart with a single touch.
"Maybe it's because foreigners don't truly understand the power of Made in China?"
Chang Wei briefly entertained the thought but dismissed it as too ridiculous.
As for searching the Atlantic for DIO, he didn't bother asking the SPW Foundation for help. Instead, he took matters into his own hands—swiftly locating DIO himself.
