Chapter 7

Fintan shielded Callie, refusing to let the police get near her.

Callie's face was filled with panic, her hospital gown making her look pitiful and vulnerable.

"Fintan, I don't want to go to jail. I'm innocent!"

Fintan held her with a pained expression, constantly reassuring her:

"It's okay, Callie. You didn't know about this beforehand. You'll be fine."

Callie's face twisted for a moment upon hearing this. When she saw me appear, her eyes lit up:

"Scarlett, why are you framing us? You voluntarily gave me your kidney, and Fintan agreed to marry you. You can't file a false police report just because he loves me instead."

Hearing this, I chuckled. They really were a perfect match, both trying to make me admit to filing a false report.

Some of the onlookers seemed moved by her tearful appearance.

"This girl looks so fragile, she can't be that cruel."

"Yeah, her dad's the deputy director of the hospital. How could they not find a kidney donor?"
