Alexia froze, her fingers tightening around the steering wheel. The man’s stare was hypnotic, suffocating. A cold sweat broke out on her skin as her mind screamed for action—escape, fight, something. But fear had her locked in place.

The man’s grin widened as he leaned forward. His voice was low, mocking. “You shouldn’t have been so careless, little girl.”

A shiver ran down her spine. This wasn’t a random attack. He had been waiting for her.

A dark chuckle rose from the backseat, and in the mirror, she caught the glint of something terrifying—pure malice, burning red.

Her heart pounded. She was in danger.
