Chapter 29: The Feng Shui Problem

Shen Gong briefly explained the girl's condition to Qin Fei.

No matter how you looked at it, she was displaying signs of wind-cold, which could be resolved with a decoction of Kudzu root.

However, the girl had been taking the Kudzu decoction for three days without any improvement; in fact, her condition had worsened.

"Could it be an issue related to shock?" Shen Gong asked, referring to the possibility of her being frightened, leading to physical discomfort.

Qin Fei smiled and replied, "That could be the case."

"I suspected as much," Shen Gong sighed. "Unfortunately, each field has its own expertise, and I'm not well-versed in this area."

Just then, a car pulled up outside, and Su Yu walked in.

"Greetings, Shen Gong," Su Yu said, nodding slightly to show her respect.

"Oh, so you two are married," Shen Gong chuckled, stroking his beard, feeling a bit embarrassed. He had just been discussing Qin Fei with a hint of rivalry, and now here was his wife.

"Come home with me; my parents are waiting for you," Su Yu gently pulled at Qin Fei's arm.

Qin Fei smiled, "You go ahead; I'll walk home later."

Su Yu frowned, "My parents prepared a meal; they're waiting for you."

"Then you all go ahead and eat," Qin Fei said leisurely, "I still have a patient to see."

"A patient? But Shen Gong is here, right?" Su Yu said with concern.

Shen Gong cleared his throat and said, "I'm afraid I can't handle this case; I'll need Qin Fei's help."

This surprised Su Yu, as Shen Gong was the most renowned Chinese medicine doctor in the area. If he couldn't treat the illness, would Qin Fei be of any use?

Could it be that the old master had a terminal illness just like her grandfather?

"If you're not busy, you can stay and wait together," Qin Fei said, pouring a cup of tea for Su Yu.

After thinking it over, Su Yu's expression turned cold as she replied, "Fine, I'll see what kind of tricks you're up to."

With that, she sat down beside Qin Fei.

Seeing this, Shen Gong's expression became increasingly uncomfortable.

Earlier, he had secretly sent a message to Li Shilan, telling her about Qin Fei's presence here.

"Miss Su, how is your grandfather's illness? At such an important time, you should be by his side," Shen Gong said, trying to change the subject.

Su Yu, however, was not privy to Shen Gong's intentions. She sighed, "My grandfather doesn't like me; it's better to keep my distance."

"Please, help me!" Suddenly, a young man stumbled into the room.

He rushed in and immediately dropped to his knees.

This man was none other than Su Yu's brother, Su Zhengzhen.

Seeing his disheveled state, Qin Fei couldn't help but chuckle, and even Su Yu covered her mouth to stifle a laugh.

For so long, Su Zhengzhen had looked down on Su Yu, believing himself to be the most outstanding member of the Su family.

Now, seeing him kneeling on the ground, Su Yu felt a sense of unexplainable satisfaction.

"You guys are here too?" Su Zhengzhen scrambled to his feet upon seeing Su Yu and Qin Fei.

He grabbed Qin Fei's arm, weeping, "Qin Fei, please ask Shen Gong to spare half of the hundred-year-old reishi! Su Yu, say something!"

Shen Gong felt awkward; he didn't know how to respond.

If he hesitated to give it, he would appear stingy, but if he did give it away, it would be a significant loss.

"Stop thinking about it," Qin Fei said. "Shen Gong has already been generous to lend us half a stock; it's unfortunate that the medicine has been ruined."

"Shen Gong, please! You're a doctor; have compassion and let me have that half!" Su Zhengzhen pleaded, tears streaming down his face.

Shen Gong pushed him away, his face darkening as he said, "How dare you use those words? You changed your grandfather's prescription, and you think you're better than the rest! You're nothing but a disgrace!"

"Let's go; stop bothering Shen Gong," Qin Fei waved his hand, signaling for Su Zhengzhen to leave.

"If you don't sell it to me, I'm not leaving!" Su Zhengzhen shouted defiantly.

"Then you can stay here," Qin Fei replied, sipping his tea, his face expressionless.

An entire hour passed, and Su Zhengzhen remained kneeling at the entrance.

During this time, many patients came and went, witnessing his humiliation.

"Just go back; don't embarrass our family any further," Su Yu said, unable to watch any longer as she attempted to pull him up.

After kneeling for an hour, Su Zhengzhen's legs lost all feeling. Just as he regained his senses, he collapsed to the ground with a thud.

"My legs are done for! Am I going to be disabled?" Su Zhengzhen cried out in panic.

Seeing his embarrassing state, Qin Fei felt speechless.

He stepped forward and pressed his hand firmly on Su Zhengzhen's acupoints—Tai Chong, Zu San Li, and San Yin Jiao. A wave of sharp pain coursed through Su Zhengzhen's body.

"Ah!" Su Zhengzhen yelled in agony, glaring at Qin Fei. "What are you doing?"

"Try moving your legs," Qin Fei instructed.

Tentatively, Su Zhengzhen moved his legs and exclaimed in surprise, "They're fine now?"

"Hurry and leave," Qin Fei said, not wanting to waste more time.

Seeing that staying wouldn't help, Su Zhengzhen left the scene.

Not long after he left, a black sedan pulled up outside again.

The wealthy woman rushed out, holding her child.

"Sir, you were right! My child received an IV at the hospital, but her condition still hasn't improved; the doctors can't find any issues," the woman said, her voice tinged with urgency.

Qin Fei remained silent, sipping his tea without a word.

The woman, feeling awkward, said, "Sir, could you please help me? I assure you, if you can cure my daughter's illness, I'll remember this favor!"

Su Yu looked on in surprise, recognizing the woman as someone of notable status whom she had encountered before.

"First, apologize," Qin Fei said without looking up.

The wealthy woman felt a surge of anger; she had been pampered all her life and had never had to apologize to anyone.

"You can rest assured that I will compensate for all losses incurred here," she said with some displeasure.

"Apologize," Qin Fei insisted, his expression unchanged.

The woman took a deep breath and said, "You know who I am, right? You want me to apologize to an old man?"

"In the eyes of a doctor, all patients are the same, regardless of their status," Qin Fei replied firmly. "Whether you're a powerful figure or a beggar, there's no distinction in my eyes."

At this, Shen Gong couldn't help but chuckle, stroking his beard.

Su Yu felt increasingly astonished, her curiosity about Qin Fei growing, even admiring him slightly.

"Fine! I'll apologize!" The woman, like an enraged lion, declared, "But let me tell you, if you can't cure my daughter, I'll destroy this clinic and have you all arrested!"

She then reluctantly looked at Shen Gong and muttered an apology.

"Is that enough?" she huffed.

Qin Fei smiled and replied, "Your daughter's illness isn't a true illness; it's a problem with your home's feng shui."

The woman froze for a moment before erupting in anger, "What nonsense! I thought you were someone important, but you're just a fraud! What era are we in, still talking about feng shui? Are you trying to make a fool of me?"

Qin Fei remained calm, saying, "Let me ask you: have you moved any large items in your home recently? Like cabinets, mirrors, or a fish tank?"

The woman furrowed her brow, recalling, "Yes, three days ago my father bought a fish tank, claiming it would bring wealth."

"But that doesn't explain anything! What does a mere fish tank have to do with my daughter's health?" she said, frowning.

Qin Fei smiled, "If it's convenient, why not take me to your home to take a look? The problem is likely with that fish tank."

"No way," the woman rejected immediately, looking down on him. "Do you think you can just waltz into my house whenever you please?"
