AMAYA'S POV

I groaned when a strong and painful impact hit my face, forcing me awake. The pain hit me so much I tried to touch the spot only to find my arms bound by a rope. Instantly, I remembered where I was and what I had seen before passing out.

I gasped and raised my head. My eyes flickered around when I saw people standing around. There were no signs of the giant wolves I had seen but when my eyes met the man who had transformed from a wolf to a human being, a newfound wave of fear overtook my senses.

"You are finally awake," he spoke with terror heavy in his voice.

I looked him up and down, taking in this strange man who was a beast. He stood tall, arms full of tattoos and muscles that frightened me. He could crush my skull with just one hand and render me lifeless. His teeth were bare in a grit as he glared down at me with eyes full of rage. The man before me made me realize that this was the first time I felt what fear truly was.

"W-what do you want from me?" I asked in the softest voice I could use. I was even surprised that I could even speak.

He smirked. "There are rumors that you are Maxim's luna."

"Luna?" I looked at him then at the others. "W-what are you talking about?"

I screamed when he charged toward me at an inhumane speed and grabbed me by the throat, blocking my lungs. I struggled to breathe as he choked me harder. My eyes hurt from the force and when I looked into his eyes, I could see murder in them. He was going to kill me, and I knew nothing about what these people were talking about.

"If you do not want to die, you have to start speaking," I heard Light speak.

The man released me, and I took in sweet air. I coughed and looked in Light's direction. She was standing not too far from the man, with a smile on her face. The expression sent shivers down my spine. She looked so innocent, yet she was dangerous. I could not believe that someone like her could do such a thing.

"What do you people want?" I asked, tired.

"We want Alpha Maxim here. You are the bait that we need to capture him and lock him away forever," Light replied. "We can smell him on you and that sin that is in your womb. You are the BloodClaw Pack's luna and I am surprised they let their queen walk freely."

"I don't know who or what you're talking about."

I needed them to let me go. They had the wrong person. I did not know anybody by the name Maxim and what did she mean by Alpha?

"You have been frolicking with Maxim and now, you carry his heir." Light laughed. "I thought that the great and mighty Maxim would find a prim and proper luna, but I did not expect him to find her in such a place. But that does not matter because now, we have just what we need to use and end him."

More confusion filled my head and when everyone stopped talking and moving, I panicked. Light sniffed the air and smirked, then looked at me with glowing yellow eyes, which sent a strong wave of fear through me. I bit my lip to stop myself from crying out at the scary sight.

"He is here."

I glanced behind Light when I heard a series of howling coming from the entrance of the factory. The next thing I saw was everyone except Light falling to the ground and changing into huge, wild wolves. I wanted to pass out again at the sight. My chest was tight and my head light from what I had just seen.

"How?" I asked under my breath.

I screamed when a loud crash filled the large room, which sent debris flying everywhere. My eyes blew wide, and my mouth hung open when a large group of larger pack of wolves rushed into the factory, growling and forming circles around us. I swallowed and looked at each and every one of the new set of beasts before my eyes landed on the bigger one of the bunches.

Even through my shock and fear, I could not help but admire the wolf. Something about the wolf made something inside me relax and yearn for it. The beautiful dark and white fur of the beast and its red glowing eyes stood out amongst the dark and brown fur of the others it came with. As I continued to stare, the wolf made eye contact with me.

At eye contact, it felt as if it sucked me in, making me feel a sync that was too difficult for me to understand. The eye contact was brief, but it sent a wave of comfort through me. Whatever or whoever it was in that wolf was my saving grace.

"Welcome, Maxim," Light said and walked toward the bigger wolf. "I am surprised you came. I mean, who wouldn't. After so many years, you finally settle down and you now have an heir. Bravo, Maxim. Bravo."

The wolves growled. Their growls were unlike anything I had heard before. Their growls were loud like that of a lion.

"But it's too sad that you might end up not seeing your heir just as your kind ruined ours. Today, it all ends here, and you will suffer the same fate you have put us through!"

Within a second, I watched as Light turned into a wolf. In the following second, all hell broke loose, and a clash began. I watched, panting as they charged at themselves, baring teeth and growling louder. My eyes darted here and there as they bit each other, tossed each other, fighting for dominance. The sight was too much, too gory as blood and dead wolves landed in almost every corner.

Never in my life would I think that I would come across such. This only happened in fiction, but I was experiencing a reality as beasts fought each other. I searched for the bigger wolf and found him fighting two wolves then I spotted Light sneakily making her way behind him. I gasped when Light started to charge at a high speed.

"Look out!"

At my voice, the wolf looked behind him and dodged Light then sneakily hit her in the side with its large head, sending her flying into a wall. The old building shook, then huge dust particles started to fall from the ceiling, followed by huge pieces of the ceiling and building. The place was collapsing.

My ears rang when a sharp sound filled the air, making me cry out from pain. I watched through my pain as Light, and her wolves ran out. Then I noticed that the other wolves, I assume, the good side, started to race out of the factory, leaving just me and the big wolf.

I swallowed as he slowly made his way toward me, snarling with his large teeth bared for me to see. His large form casted a dark shadow onto me, and once he was close to me, I realized just how small I was compared to this beast. His red eyes glowed brighter as he snarled louder while leaning his head.

"P-please. Don't eat me," I pleaded with tears in my eyes.

The wolf huffed and then took a step back. Around us, the building was slowly collapsing, and I did not like that the wolf was moving backward. When he turned around and started walking away, I got scared. He was leaving me!

"Please… Maxim," I begged, hoping he was the Maxim they spoke about.

The wolf stopped and turned back around, growling at me. He was angry, even angrier than before. Something told me he did not like that I had called him by his name, and I could not stop the tears from flowing.

The wolf walked over to me and stood for a second. From behind the wolf, another wolf walked into my line of vision then stood in front of the other. I looked from one wolf to another before meeting the eyes of the wolf that had just walked in. It stared into my eyes, drawing me into its red, demonic eyes and before I knew it, a strong sleep swept me into unconsciousness.
