In a world constantly threatened by monsters and catastrophes, Kazuto was just an ordinary man living a dull, uninspired life—until he got fired from his job and lost all sense of purpose. As they chatted, a grotesque monster attacked, enraged over a hilariously petty grievance: someone had scribbled insults on its back during its transformation. Determined to protect Riku, Kazuto confronted the monster, rediscovering a spark of heroism he'd long forgotten since childhood. Against all odds, he defeated the monster using sheer wit, saving Riku, who thanked him before continuing his journey.

Awestruck by Kazuto's overwhelming strength, Tatsuya pleads to become his disciple, convinced that this man holds the key to reaching perfection in his own quest for power.



As Kazuto navigates his apathetic routine, Tatsuya's fiery determination to grow stronger and their constant encounters with absurdly powerful monsters begin to inject a new sense of purpose into his life.
