Chapter 11: Jealousy Ignites
The camp buzzed with excitement.
People gathered around, whispering in awe about Kai and Yuna's mission.
"They really took down a Rank B boss?"
"Yeah, even the higher-ranked awakened were struggling in Busan, but those two handled it!"
"It's crazy! That kid, Kai, he's just Rank E, but he—"
SLAM!
The sound of a fist hitting a table silenced the conversation.
All eyes turned to the source—a young man with dark hair and cold, furious eyes.
Minho.A rank B awakened
Without a word, he stood up, storming out of the head tent.
One of the awakened leaned closer to a friend. "What's with him? He looks pissed."
"yeah whats up with that guys"
Minho's steps were heavy, his mind boiling with anger.
Kai…that bastard
He clenched his fists so hard that his knuckles turned white.
Everyone from far seem scare avoided to contact with Minho.
As he walked through the camp, his eyes landed on Kai and Yuna, sitting by the fire, laughing together.
Yuna was smiling. She looked,
comfortable.
With him.
His grip tightened around his sword he pull out from his inventory.
How dare he?
Without thinking, he started forward, his weapon ready to cut Kai down—
"Hey, Minho! You there?"
Minho froze.
Yuna's voice broke through his rage.
His hand tensed around his sword—but in an instant, his expression shifted.
The killing intent vanished.
He forced a smile, making the weapon disappear back into his inventory.
Turning to Yuna, he casually shrugged. "Yo, Yuna. Just passing by."
Kai's system flashed a warning:

Kai's eyes narrowed slightly. He didn't trust this guy.
Minho, still smiling, stepped closer. "Congrats on completing the mission Yuna."
"i think i need to go now"
"sure.."with low voice Yuna replied
But when he turned away, his voice dropped into a whisper only Kai could hear—
"I'll kill you."
Kai heard it loud and clear.
His fingers twitched, ready to grab his dagger—but he held back.
Yuna glanced at him. "Did he say something?"
Kai shook his head. "No, it's nothing."
Inside his tent, Minho's calm mask shattered.
He tore through his belongings, knocking over a table, his aura flaring with menace.
His eyes landed on an old photograph—
A picture of him and Yuna, from their childhood.
His hands trembled as he picked it up.
"She's mine."
"That bastard… I will kill you, Kai."
Meanwhile, Kai and Yuna sat by the campfire, their conversation shifting to the past.
"Back in school, you were always so quiet," Yuna said, smiling.
"Was I?"
"Yeah, I always wanted to talk to you its so hard back then. And now, here we are—sitting together like this."
Her hand grab kai hand lay with firm.
Kai felt his face heat up.
Yuna leaned in closer, her eyes searching his.
"Kai, I wanted to ask you…"
Her voice was soft, her expression serious.
Kai's heart pounded. "W-what?"
Before she could answer—
BOOM!
A sudden Fireball shot toward Kai!
Kai's instincts kicked in—he grabbed his dagger and deflected the blast, sending embers flying.
"Who's there?!"
A familiar voice growled from the shadows—
"Don't you dare touch my Yuna, you bastard!"
From the darkness, a figure rushed forward—sword in hand, aimed straight at Kai's head.
The clash of steel and fire had drawn a crowd.
People gathered, their eyes filled with curiosity and tension.
Minho's blade swung wildly, his strikes relentless, forcing Kai on the defensive.
This guy… he's not thinking straight!
Kai dodged, parried, and blocked, but Minho kept coming at him like a mad beast.
"Damn it, stop!" Kai gritted his teeth, deflecting another vicious slash.
But Minho wasn't listening. His rage fueled his attacks, his sword blurring through the air.
"Die you bastard."
The ground beneath them cracked from the force of their battle.
Then—
BOOM!
A thunderous stomp shook the earth.
A massive foot crashed down between them, the sheer force throwing both fighters off balance.
"Enough."
A deep, commanding voice cut through the chaos.
Kai stumbled back, his eyes widening as a massive figure loomed over them.
Minho, caught in an iron grip, struggled in vain.
"What do you think you're doing, Minho?"
The camp fell silent.
Minho's body tensed. "Boss… I was just—"
"Calm down."
A powerful aura radiated from the man, instantly snuffing out Minho's menacing energy.
Kai felt it too—a pressure unlike anything he had encountered before.
"This guy… he's on another level."
The massive man turned to Kai.
"Let me introduce myself. I am Jang Jiwook, the leader of this camp."
He crossed his arms. "You did well completing the mission.Back then,come with me,I wanted to speak with you personally."
Kai nodded. "Alright," his dagger vanished to inventory.
Jiwook turned to the crowd. "Show's over. Get back to your business."
The people slowly dispersed, whispering among themselves.

Yuna stormed up to Minho, her expression furious.
"What the hell were you thinking, Minho?!"
Minho avoided her gaze. "I was just… protecting—"
"Protecting WHAT?!"
Her Voice echoed, frustration laced in every word.
Minho's fists clenched. "Nothing."
"That's not an answer."
"I said it's NOTHING!" Minho shouted, turning on his heel and walking away.
Yuna watched him go, her shoulders slumping.
"What's wrong with that guy?" She sighed.
Inside the dimly lit tent, Jiwook reached into his inventory, pulling out an intriguing relic.
Kai's system window appeared, scanning the object.

Kai frowned. "What does this mean?"
Jiwook's expression darkened.

"Your next goal is clear. Get stronger."
He turned away. "For now, you're dismissed, soldier."
Kai stepped out of the tent, his thoughts heavy.
He had come far, but it wasn't enough.
Everywhere he looked, there were awakened stronger than him, fighters with skills far beyond his own.
He clenched his fists.
"I have to get stronger."
"No matter what it takes."
Every time a mission was announced in the headquarters, his hand shot up without fail.
I have to get stronger.
The missions became harder. The monsters more ferocious. The challenges more brutal.
But Kai never failed.
Each day, he pushed himself to the limit, his timer never running out before the mission was complete.

He couldn't help but smile.

Kai looked up.
Yuna stood in front of him, smiling.

"Ugh, I'm so exhausted." She sighed, stretching her arms. "The missions keep getting harder, don't you think?"
Kai nodded. "Yeah, but that just means we have to keep getting stronger."

He turned away, walking back to his tent.
Inside, his eyes landed on a photo—one of him and Yuna from their childhood.
But then—
" I'm just an obstacle in the way."
Without hesitation, he activated his skill.
The photo burned in his hands, the flames consuming their past.
Then—
He walked toward Jiwook's tent.
Jiwook sat behind his desk, studying reports when Minho entered.
Without hesitation, Minho spoke.
"Boss,permission to be on duty."
Jiwook raised an eyebrow. "What now, Minho? What are you planning?"
"Code name White area. Please aprroved me on the mission."
Jiwook leaned back. "You want to die Soldier?"
"No boss,i...i want to prove myself."
Silence.
Even for Jiwook, that was unexpected.
The White Area was infamously dangerous, classified as A-Rank or possibly higher.
"You're insane, kid." Jiwook exhaled. "That place isn't for acting tough. Going there means accepting death."
Minho stood firm.
"Just Applied me with this mission."Minho face getting serious
Jiwook studied him.
Then—
"...Fine. Gear up. Lieutenant Kang will take you."
" i will call the First squad division to meet you there"
Minho smiled faintly. "Thank you, Boss."
Jiwook sighed. "Just make sure you come back with all your limbs, kid."
"Yes, Boss."
The helicopter blades roared to life, preparing for takeoff.
Lieutenant Kang glanced at Minho.
"Are you sure about this?you still young kid"
Minho nodded. "This is what I want, sir."
Kang remained silent. Then—
"Get in."
Just as Minho was about to board—
"MINHO!"
He turned.
Yuna ran toward him.
Then—
SLAP!
Minho's face snapped to the side.
Silence.
Tears welled in Yuna's eyes as she suddenly hugged him.
"Why do you have to act tough?! You're going to die!"
Minho smiled softly.
"You've gotten stronger, Yuna."
Behind Yuna, Kai stood silently, watching.
Minho met Kai's gaze.
Then, he walked up to him.
His hand grabbed Kai's hand firmly and shake him and whispered:
"Promise me. Protect Yuna. If you don't... I will kill you."
Kai smirked slightly. "I promise. Just don't die before you can try."
Minho smiled back.
"Don't worry."
Then—
He boarded the helicopter.
As the Helicopter rose into the sky, Minho looked out the window.
From afar, Yuna waved at him.
Minho exhaled.
"Yuna, please live happily."
13 year ago,
On park there was a kid crying outloud for getting bullied by some big fat boy.
"Please give my candy back"shout little Minho crying outloud
"Ha ha ha you want this,try to take yourself you short"
Then a sudden a figure jump to air kick from the back that fat boy kid
"Dont you dare to bullied my friend !"shout Little Yuna with fierce.
"Mommy"the fat boy cry outloud run from the scene.
"Here take mine Minho please don't cry anymore"Yuna held his candy toward Minho.
Minho face smile with soft voice "thankyou Yuna".
"You welcome"with smiled Yuna replied.
Then sudden Minho replied.
"when i big.. if you in danger i promise i will protect you Yuna"with serious in his voice say to Yuna and clenching his fist.
Yuna smile"sure, but first Dont be crybaby okay"with soft voice Yuna replied.
minho wiped his tear"dont worry i will".
In helicopter Minho on seat his face full with tear.
"Im sorry Yuna..."the voice softly let with tear on his face.
The helicopter vanished into the distance.
