Whis: "Yes, Lord Beerus. However, that guy is far too outspoken. Even in front of Lord Zeno, I doubt he'll restrain himself. I just hope that when the time comes, Lord Zeno won't blame the entire Seventh Universe for his actions. Otherwise... you might all be erased."

(Whis spoke calmly, but his words sent a chill down Beerus' spine.)

(Beerus' expression turned even uglier.)

(If he ended up erased because of that brat's arrogance... that would be beyond tragic.)

(But at this point, there was nothing he could do.)

(Without Zeno's summons, he had no right to step foot in Zeno's palace.)

Beerus: "Hmph. That guy better not be stupid enough to cause trouble."

(All Beerus could do was pray.)

(With that, he and Whis left the Seventh Universe.)

(Meanwhile, on the cruise ship, only Goku and Vegeta remained, their faces full of confusion.)

(They still couldn't wrap their heads around what had just happened.)

(Who exactly was the Super Saiyan God that Beerus had been searching for? Who was the Grand Priest, and why had he appeared? And most importantly, just how strong was Son Goten?)

(None of these questions had clear answers.)

Chi-Chi: "Goku, do something! Find a way to save Goten!"

(Chi-Chi stepped forward, her face full of worry.)

(Even though the Goten from earlier wasn't her real son, he was still Goten.)

(As a mother, how could she not be concerned?)

Goku: "Sorry, Chi-Chi... but there's nothing I can do. I want to help Goten too, but I have no idea where the Grand Priest took him. I can't sense their ki at all anymore!"

(Goku shook his head in frustration.)

(It wasn't that he didn't want to help-it was that he simply couldn't.)

(The Grand Priest and the others possessed divine ki, something he couldn't detect.)

(Without being able to sense them, Instant Transmission was useless.)

Vegeta. "Tch, what's there to worry about? That guy was so arrogant just now-maybe he can actually handle them. Besides, people with attitudes like his need to be put in their place."

(Vegeta scoffed, crossing his arms.)

(His words, however, instantly angered Chi-Chi.)

Chi-Chi: "Vegeta, cut the crap! Goten's arrogance isn't even a fraction of yours! And don't forget-this whole mess started because of you and Goku! If you two hadn't been so arrogant, challenging the God of Destruction like idiots, none of this would have happened! And if Goten hadn't stepped in to save you, you'd both be dead by now! So maybe show some gratitude instead of running your mouth!"

(Chi-Chi's sharp words hit home.)

(Vegeta froze, momentarily speechless.)

(Because... she was right.)

(Originally, Beerus and Whis had no intention of making a scene on Earth.)

(It was only because he and Goku insisted on fighting Beerus that everything spiraled out of control.)

(More importantly, at the most critical moment, it was Goten who saved them.)

(Without him, they would have been erased already.)

(Zeno, seated atop his throne, nodded slightly before turning his gaze to Goten.)

(Indeed, he could sense it-the same power that he himself possessed.)

(Why did this mortal have the ability to break universal rules? Even the Grand Priest wasn't able to wield such power.)

(And yet, this mortal had it.)

Grand Priest: "Goten, before you is Lord Zeno. He is the most supreme god of this universe."

(The Grand Priest subtly emphasized Zeno's status, hoping to instill some respect in Goten.)

(But Goten's expression didn't change.)

(He remained as casual as ever.)

(Zeno, however, wasn't offended.)

Zeno: "Forget it, Grand Priest. He possesses a power beyond that of the Gods of Destruction and Angels. Those who are truly strong... always have pride."

(Zeno's voice was calm.)

(He understood-true strength came with arrogance.)

(It was only natural that someone this powerful wouldn't bow so easily.)

(Especially when that someone possessed the same rule-breaking ability as himself.)

Zeno: "Goten, hello! Can I ask you something?"

(For the first time, Zeno seemed... curious.)

Goten: "Of course. Ask away."

(Goten already had a pretty good idea of what Zeno wanted to know.)

(It was obvious.)

(He wanted to know why Goten had the same erasure ability as him.)

(He probably wasn't the only one curious-the Grand Priest must have sensed it too, which was why he sought Goten out in the first place.)

(And just as expected, Zeno's next words confirmed it.)

Zeno: "Goten, I can sense the power of rules within you. Can you tell me... how did you obtain such an ability?"

(Goten smirked.)

(He had already prepared his answer.)

Goten: "My ability to erase? You taught it to me."

(Zeno blinked.)

(Goten continued, his tone light.)

Goten: "In another timeline, you were the one who taught me this power."

(That was... partially true.)

(In reality, he had received the power from the system after fighting Zeno in his ultimate form.)

(But since the ability originally belonged to Zeno, it wasn't exactly a lie.)

(So in a way... Zeno was indeed responsible.)
